Recipe 605: Sweet Potato Kheer (Aadi Valli Special )

Sweet Potato Kheer Recipe is a must try sweet delicacy. The sweet is simmered in coconut milk and flavored with saffron strands. The kheer is luscious to be had after nice meal on a Sunday evening. Adding sweet potato is also another way to eat something healthy and not worry about extra calories.

Sweet Potato - 2 (Grated)
Ghee - 3 tsp
Milk - 1 ltr
Saffron - 5 to 6 strings (optional)
Grated Coconut - 2 tsp
Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp
White Sugar - 100 gms
Cashew Nuts - 7 to 8 nos
Cheraunji dried nut (Sara paruppu) - 1 tsp

Super Instead of grating potatoes we can cook it and mash it which is a easier method. We can pressure cook for 3 or 4 whistles. I have tried this for making sweet potato podimas
