Check out bharatnatyam dance classes.. this dance seems to be based on it. Classical Indian dances have basis in yoga, especially the classical dances from the south. I've trained in it for 6 years. Popstars can't dance without getting half naked and showing off their bodies. These women look so beautiful and graceful without objectifying their sexuality. ❣️
@renu163 жыл бұрын
Well, cultures differ. For some cultures,women wont be allowed to dance nor can they go out sans head scarf. So for such conservative cultures the Indian classical dance woud be considered a taboo. So it all depends how we view things.
@Highpriestess11263 жыл бұрын
@indian weeb desu and you can’t tell others what to appreciate or not. If someone finds modesty more aesthetic, there’s nothing you should say about it.
@Highpriestess11263 жыл бұрын
COMPLETELY agree. The body has dignity and femininity can be beautiful, alluring and sensual without taking off clothes. To all those who get riled by this - yes, humans have many dimensions. To see beauty or sexuality in just the naked body is one dimensional and objectification, but it can go far beyond to the depths of the soul and psyche which isn’t just beautiful but divine. That’s what this amazing woman’s dance and sadhana is about.
@Highpriestess11263 жыл бұрын
@indian weeb desu You can’t tell anyone what opinion to have regarding what they find beautiful or vulgar. Wake up from your woke illusions because objectification of women’s bodies is RAMPANT and not all skin show is appealing just like not all modesty is appealing. Human beings weren’t meant to remain naked which is why clothing was invented. This isn’t about shaming or moralising - there are many many like us who would like to see women explore and portray deeper and more subjective ideas of sensuality especially in performance arts and media.
@Highpriestess11263 жыл бұрын
@indian weeb desu Firstly your liking your own comments shows how desperate you are for validation. Second, everyone is entitled to their opinion on what kind of a woman they admire or want to be. The ones who see themselves beyond their bodies may actively seek to reject the lustful, pop culture types as that’s how they made their choice. The ones who freely show off their bodies obviously reject a more reserved lifestyle and that’s how they made their choice. So if someone is unappreciative and rejecting the semi-naked woman who parades herself as an object, they are making an active choice for the other type. If they didn’t have a dislike or disconnect with that energy, they would have behaved like that too. It’s a universal truth. Nothing you say will change it. Please don’t school me about women’s freedom. There are women who have a MUCH deeper understanding of the word than those whose idea of freedom is to take off their clothes. The lady in the video was more free than any ‘free’ women you tried to mention.
