RSPEAK I think it is just that when he is talking with friends and excited, his voice is higher than when he is recording a video in his own office. I know a similar thing happens to me, when I’m just talking into a microphone alone my voice is much lower than when I’m talking to friends.

@@nroke1684 It's also entirely possible that his home setup has a different microphone, which can result in different bass balancing. Spiff's home mic is probably balanced towards bass pickup and Spiff almost definitely puts on a bit of a voice, and he's probably also a LOT closer to his microphone at home than he is on streams. (I kind of imagine spiff sensually whispering into his microphone whenever he talks about tea, then sends that audio clip to Yorkshire Tea in an unsolicited email and they send him more teabags begging him to stop.)
