It's a nice change up. I think it'd be interesting if it randomly switched between the old behavior and the new (without informing the player). You'd never know if you're safe to let your target run off or not, or if you will make them die. It'd make it a much more volatile role.

Its good, but not so sure I like that it kills when it takes the role. If it turned them into a swapper, or better yet into a guess like role were they have to guess who took it from them, guess right they get their role back and the shadow becomes s swapper, guess wrong they die or become a swapper. Right now its just flavor for the first minute of each round and ceases to be a thing.

well the old shadow was a brown role meaning anyone was fair game to kill, but the yogscast (at least in the rounds posted on this channel) played the role much more like the original old man role and never decided to help out their target

Aww, I miss the old Shadow. I had hoped they would change it so that the Shadow copied the players model, but became dark. They could have given the shadow some positive benefit to the player they have to stay close to, like a health or damage boost. That way the player would be less likely to just abandon the shadow.
