Lewis has talked about running BotC on Triforce podcast, and has said he basically tries to make games last as long as possible, hence why he may sound disappointed. Personally I think this isn't the best approach to BotC, players should be rewarded for playing well, whether they're on the good/bad team. If that ends the game relatively quickly, so be it, and you can hear basically everyone's having a great time in that moment where the Slayer shot lands, which is what the Storyteller should be aiming to achieve.

In his defence, he explained that, on top of the failed kill, his bluffs were taken by other players and RT game ignored him throughout so it wasn’t too much of a leap in logic to guess Lunatic. Still a risky play of course.

Key word here being another player not another townsfolk. Minions can be killed as a result of Mayor bounce, although most of the time storytellers won't punish the evil team that badly.

@@mscupcakes It is so good! Perhaps my most satisfying game yet was one where I (the Slayer) was immediately pinged for a chat on Day One by someone who then immediately asked "Are you the Slayer?". I'd been planning on hiding it but on realising he had to be the Washerwoman who'd seen me, I told him I was indeed the Slayer and we agreed to a role-swap (I went arond hard-claiming to be a Washerwoman who'd seen a Slayer, while he was presumably claiming Slayer to people). He died that night and I spent the next two or three days (during which soemoen died to the Virgin so I was able to tell both of them the truth about my role as well) trying to work out who the Demon was. Eventually figured I was probably out of time and likely to die that night, and didn't want the Washerwoman to have died in vain so I made a quick mental check of the remaining players to work out who it was. The Ravenkeeper? Nah, they seem pretty trusted and I know the Washerwoman trusts them. The Recluse who outed on Day One (because that's what I do and they said that was why they did it :D)? No, I believe them. The Fortune Teller who came to me yesterday (or today, I forget now) and started hard-accusing me of being evil because they got a yes on me, and won't let go of that no matter how many times I say I have to be their Red Herring? Highly suspicious but feels more Minion-y than Demon-y. The guy who claimed Monk to me on Day One? Kind of suspicious but this particular player does tend to hard-claim random stuff early and then change it later. And finally, the Chef? Can't remember what number they got but I remember thinking that there was something kind of off about their claim. I was 50-50 between them and the "Monk", we had the Recluse on the block, and the Storyteller was counting down the last few seconds of the day. I announced that "I pull out my crossbow and shoot in the face!" They died. We won. There was a lot of cheering, and it was soooo satisfying :D. The "Monk" was indeed the Demon (Imp, we were playing a slightly modified Trouble Brewing). I was right that the Chef was dodgy - they were in fact the Poisoner. And the "Fortune Teller" who was so sure I was evil? I was right that they seemed dodgy too, but it turned out they were the Marionette WHO HAD NO IDEA, yet managed to make themselves look super-Minion-y to me anyway :D. Great game, that one :D.

I do LOVE that these are curated for the maximum gameplay and the best combinations of roles. It must be so much work setting up each game, roles and neighbors, and then on Lewis to do live curating. Everyone is so smart and it really maximizes the entertainment. Mistakes may be made along the way but it took years of passionate TTT, Amoung Us, etc. to get this long form material so well structured. Keep it up! You're all doing wonderfully! Also, don't feel pressured to do this live for JingleJam, that would be so difficult to make work. I'm happy waiting longer before releases if it means we get more. It's so worth it!

Despite being a good bit shorter than the last episode, this was absolutely my favourite edition of BotCiM (Botkim?) so far. ...(super secret spoilers) Both Tom & Sophie's MVP big-brain plays towards the end were absolutely jaw-dropping, seeing Tom finally put together his role was SO satisfying, and I was hoping *so* much that Sophie would drop the slayer bombshell. Amazing stuff.
