Recording with friends helps ease tension when talking over games, and cuts out a lot of that awkward silence, since you are actually talking with someone who can actively reply to you. I personally wouldn't suggest scripting anything though, most people who enjoy gaming commentary prefer improv comedy. Unless of course you are talking about an end slate, in that case, you can probably just record a voice-over of what you want to say a few times, take the best recording, and pop it in at the end of the videos. This is of course all talking about gaming commentary, if you're talking about live action stuff, I really couldn't tell you. Just practice, I guess.

You sir are just not intelligent enough to understand the deep meaning behind his comedy. This is a mature channel with mature humor, more like satire really, that you have to use your brain to understand. His footsteps smelling like doughnuts was obviously a comment on the current state of affairs in the world and the relentless cycle of misery that humanity is locked in. Just as a doughnut is a circle and no matter how hard you try you can never reach the end of it he was implying that the cycle of murder and war (Hence they are playing "Murder" when he says it) is near endless. However, he does not simply say a "circle," Sips is an optimist and such a thing would be too bleak. When he says doughnut rather than circle or cycle what he is saying is that though things may seem bad there is always a tunnel in the darkness, the "hole" in the doughnut, that will lead humanity down a better path and to a better future, away from this cycle of violence. That is the same reason he says that his "footsteps" smell like doughnuts rather than something else. When someone leaves a footstep it means they have already come and gone. Wherever they were at the time they have moved on from it. This is Sips' saying that though the world is not a perfect place we are slowly improving, slowly walking away from the cycle of violence and before long the harsh world we live in will only be a memory with nothing but footsteps and or history to remind us of where we came from. It's okay if you don't understand though, poetry is sometimes hard to grasp.
