​@@AbroadandHungryHi Max, being from Jogjakarta myself, there is a historical interesting finding about why foods in Jogja are so sweet, it's because during colonial time, there were more than 10 sugar company in Jogja, and also vast area of sugar cane plantation in Jogja, one of the biggest income for 'Kraton' Jogja was from exporting sugar. That's why you will find the food in Jogja are so sweet compare to other cities in Indonesia.
