Sounds like a nice lady. And she sounds similar to his Japanese voice actor but I still hate it. They should’ve gotten the old dub’s voice actors. Everyone just sounds wrong in English.

Say what you will on preferring Yoh, Hao, Tao Ren and Ryu's original English Voices from the 2001 series over the new voices from the 2021 series, but playing Devil's Advocate I actually enjoy the new English voices they got in the 2021 dub, especially Tao Ren. At the same time I'm overall grateful that Netflix and VSI Los Angeles went all out to bring back some of the voice cast from the dub of the 2001 version of _Shaman King_ done by 4Kids to reprise their roles for the dub of the 2021 series such as Tara Sands (Anna), Oliver Wyman (Manta), Veronica Taylor (Tamao), Lisa Ortiz (Tao Jun), Michael Sinterniklaas (HoroHoro), Matt Caplan (Faust VIII) and especially Dan Green (Silva).

They should’ve gotten Sebastian Arcelus, Dan Green and Sean Schemmel at all cost. Ren sounds okay. Not better not worse.

@@ChadKakashi As much as I loved the original English voice actors for Yoh & Hao (Sebastian Arcelus) and to a degree Tao Ren (Andrew Rannells) from the 2001 series, Sebastian and Andrew haven't been doing ANY dubbing voiceover for 13 years and have become Mainstream actors lately via On-camera and Broadway, so frankly, I doubt they would show interest in returning for the 2021 adaptation of _Shaman King_ when compared to say Joshua Seth who voiced Tai from the original Digimon Adventure anime and came back to reprise the role in _Digimon Adventure tri._ and _Last Adventure Kizuna_ despite becoming a Mentalist/Psychic or Laura Bailey who came back as to voice Tohru Honda in the _Fruits Basket_ reboot despite doing Video Games and Original Animation these days. Certain voice actors move on to other things regardless if they enjoyed playing a certain character or series, and many of them don't want to return cause they didn't enjoyed doing dubbing in the first place and are currently satisfied with their new job/position which is what Sebastian Arcelus and Andrew Rannells went through, becoming Mainstream Broadway and On-Camera actors and I don't blame them and their decisions So I'm not surprised that they didn't came back. Just be grateful that some of the voice cast from the dub of 2001 adaptation mainly Tara Sands, Veronica Taylor, Michael Sinterniklaas, Lisa Ortiz, Oliver Wyman and Dan Green came back, as for the new voices for Yoh, Hao and Tao Ren give them a chance cause their still a couple of episodes left to be dubbed and their voices will get better.

@@ChadKakashi As for Tao Ren I love Laura Stahl's take on the character and compared to Andrew Rannells who just gave him a laughably bad British accent, I love how Laura provided a much better suited voice for him and to top it of, her voice sound remarkably close to Romi Park's portrayal of Tao Ren in the Japanese version.

At least it adapts most of the manga. Though I have major issues with the English version. Plus it’s not a shot for shot remake of the manga, which was what hoped. I also wanted the original voice actors (all of them) and the original English opening. It’s not a complete adaptation without those if you ask me.

Shaman King was my first subbed anime and I'm so glad they're making an uncensored dub! Amidamaru's new English VA sounds taciturn without being cheesy too. I can't wait to tune in! (Another note: Any other Amidamaru fangirls here? I had the biggest crush on him when I was seventeen. ❤)

I’m disappointed that only Manta’s VA reprised his role. Not that the other current VAs are bad or anything, I just personally think some of them don’t fit. Ryu’s and Yoh’s to me don’t sound right. I would have preferred if they at least used sound a likes for Yoh and Ryu from the original dub.

in realtà se guardi bene il video è disponibile in 8 lingue diverse, per cui dipendendo dalla regione dove sei ti compare il video nella tua lingua. Io per esempio lo ho sentito con l'audio in spagnolo latino e mi sono sorpresa di ritrovare commenti in tutte le lingue XD poi ho capito.

What the hell have you done with Ryu?! His voice is soooo wrong. Also Yoh’s voice sucks. Amidamaru’s okay but not great. I guess they couldn’t afford Sebastian Arcelus, Dan Green and Sean Schemmel. At least Manta and Anna are spot on.
