Hello there, I'm Japanese and a big fan of Yoh Kamiyama. I'll try to translate the lyrics into English with some commentary. I'm sorry for my incomplete English and if I take the lyrics the wrong way. Hope my post helps you understand this beautiful song. こんにちは。日本人でかつ神山さんの大ファンです。頑張って英訳してみましたが英語もしくは解釈(意訳した文や解説含め)が間違ってたらすみません。少しでもお役に立てればと思います。There you go. Title- 退紅トレイン("Taikou" or "Arazome" Train) 退紅 can be pronounced either of them and the composer hasn't defined so far. Type of color, kind of dull pink. You can see it at 4:05 . Around 2:48 , sounds like Miku saying "Arazome" repeatedly, though. Lylics- When a steam train's whistle blew, she got excited like a child I was watching her ansty profile "Should I take the courage to go somewhere?" A bird getting restless, Aristoteles Throw away the unrewarded photos, take the express train on the 8th Avenue A wet ticket, a red muffler scarf Sugar sugar Hilton in a residential area (on the train,) Spend time reading a cult scripture A honey churros with a too sweet smell An apple sticker on a bag The tip of the nose that's gone cold The smoke goes up, swaying and swaying The steam train is running, looking for you Visit a grave in the Bon holidays ※1 Would you like to have some tea with me, at the place of flowing tears? After chasing the wheels spinning round and round, you get some sleep to the next station, right? ※2 You are fading away, being illuminated with neon beam You are leaving on me, never to come back here I want to eat お団子(O dango: rice dumpling in a sweet soy sauce) in Kyoto Stand behind you and give a hug "Have we met somewhere?" Browse restricted mariage Passing through Sugar Hilton "You're being emotional" "Nonsense" If it's Psychology, it'd be a stereo mode Before I knew it, an arrest had been done Visit a grave in the Bon holidays Nakameguro (the name of a place in Tokyo) is still so plush that makes me dizzy After chasing you, we get some rest to the next station, right? You are fading away, being illuminated with neon beam You are leaving on me, never to come back here The steam train runs with a piercing whistle, only to leave the lonely town there Until your cheek and long hair take on the red colour of safflower ※3 Until they get red Visit a grave in the Bon holidays Would you like some tea with me, at a place of flowing tears? After chasing the wheels spinning round and round, you get some sleep to the next station, right? Visit a grave in the Bon holidays Where are you now, who's wiped away your tears? After chasing tomorrow that turns round and round, we get some sleep to the next station, right? You are fading away, being illuminated with neon beam I am getting to lose myself, never to return here -Commentary ※1 About 腹水盆に墓参り(Fuku sui bon ni hakamairi), I have some idea. 覆水盆に返らず(Fuku sui bon ni kaerazu): a Japanese idiom. Exactly the same as "it's no use crying over spilt milk." 腹水(Fuku sui, homonym of 覆水): Excess abdominal fluid. Or might be 水子(an aborted fetus) By any chance, the main character has lost someone recently? 盆に墓参り: お盆(Obon) is the time of year when the souls of people in the past come back to visit, similarly to Halloween. Before that we visit to graves and clean up them so that they can come see us at ease. So 腹水盆に墓参り doesn't really make sense grammatically, but implies a lot. ※2 This reminds me of 輪廻転生(Reincarnation). Also, 一休み (some rest) and 一眠り(some sleep) seem to be the death until the next life starts. ※3 I think this part refers to red color. This is what 紅花染め(Beni bana zome) is like: nitta-yonezawa.com/en/benibana Throughout the lyrics, there are many words that imply something to do with death. Maybe that's why this song sounds so nostalgic to me. Every time I listen to it, I remember when I first took a steam train with my late grand father. I was only 4 or 5 years old and such a selfish girl. But he kept holding my hands to put me on there safely... Anyway, thank you for this beautiful song, 有機酸 a.k.a 神山羊. And thank you for reading this.

飴村乱数 I'm the one who should thank you, because the notification of your reply reminded me of my comment posted 7 months ago and I realized some grammatical mistakes/mistranslation. Anyway I'm glad that I could be any help of international fans.
