I don't understand the style I like this creativity outside the box

So beautiful….deconstructed hats, layers of intentionally placed “scraps” of fabric, unusual shapes….and all in contrast to the room they are in. It’s redefining elegance….quite exceptional!!

How does this pass for fashion? What are these women wearing on their heads? Looks like Nirvana meets the Addams Family.

If our youth were to wear this clothing, I could understand how they continue to feed their depression. Dark and none flattering.

What in the Rat’s Nest Hell is any of this?

Perhaps I have no taste or maybe I can't interpret what the designer is trying to present. All I know it doesn't look like anything except designed tattered clothes. Sorry.

I do not understand the Yohji Yamamoto aesthetic. I never have. I've never actually seen his clothes in real life, but for high fashion, I assume the tailoring, the fabrics, must all be top notch, so technically they must be objectively good. But subjectively, WTF ? They look like homeless people in discarded clothes, each piece, even if you take them apart separately, look very ordinary in design, the colors look like washed out black and the hit by a car hairstyles are intentional, so intentionally making a statement - I look like shit but my clothes are Yohji, so if you don't get it, you don't know fashion. Its not about being beautiful, its about ....... making a statement. I revel in my ignorance and will continue to dream of wearing colorful, sensuous, feminine clothes that fashion critics hate. And enough people in the world are actually buying this, so the brand goes on. The world is indeed full of mysteries.

You are not wrong nor alone. I am right along with you because designers are throwing 🤬 on the runway. Sadly, there are people shallow enough to revere a brand to make a statement but they'd be repulsed to be worn by someone homeless. The irony.

self expression. just as your comment about something you haven't seen or been (homeless) is uso (a fake) expression; of both sides of your unknowing (not having the experience of everything you commented on). & as a result, ignorance, good or bad to those here reading you. making a judgement, as a statement based on 2 dimensional virtual projection; a hologram within your hologram matrix. without the 5th & 6th sense scent; not having smelt the wool. or scanned the depth; not having experienced the extra fine stitching, or been witness to the labour in the ateliers to execute, Yohi-san's " thought forms" aka: ideas & concepts. brought into experience offering the highest level of craftsmenship, soon to be lost. each piece of "art" disguised as clothing... likewise, a particle of the current Epoch. the combination of art, fashion, metaphysics & quantum physics. appearances... beyond the weighing & auctioning of taste. medicated by the media-controlled fashion system... Yohji-san has always been against. him playing with the virtual experiencers, armchair critics, judges who don't own a courthouse seat, yet know will uphold the rules of something outdated & from the past. not living now in the moment in the present. nor understanding the project into the streaming ahead. furthering the experiences of life" Leon R. @@space_equipment You like his shit. I assume that's what you're trying to say. You do you. Have a nice day.

@space_equipment Nokay. I have seen homelessness and helped out some people to not be. While you come across as if you don't favor the current social construct that bridles self expression and Yoshi-san is going against it, I am quite sure that in no plain of consciousness do most people want to dress post apocalyptic. This collection is a battle of unwanted realities yet to come. In the meantime, produce something far more appealing, wearable, and does not have me looking squalid for an exorbitant price while I am still in this body.

If mumble rap took a form, this collection would be it sans the horrid music that was plaid. Torture. In spite of this designer being in his own lane, I have yet to ever appreciate the homeless look. Neither do the homeless.
