Topic is an excellent fighter - but Saenchai hits his flow, and is able to frustrate him and get to him and use that in addition to that arsenal of spectacular techniques on all levels. And you throw in the sweeps Topic should be very proud of doing as well as he did. Heart is not just not quitting - heart is never stopping to try to win Topic showed that here

Saenchai is a real Joy to watch as he fights. Reminds me of a small kid on his birthday with a big smile on his face as he sees the gift on the floor in front of him. The only downside is: You are the Gift that Saenchai is tearing into, laughing at you during the entire fight. I am just Amazed every time I see him fight. This fight is a perfect example of what difference experience makes when compared to just training. Same with jobs, you may be trained at the work you do, but someone who has been doing it for a lifetime will always have an edge over you. At least Topic had an awesome learning experience here.

Muhammad Ali just started boxing and he out boxed his gyms champ on sparring. Bernard Hopkins started boxing at 22 in jail he is in the top 20 greatest of all time

Im impressed that fighter actually hurt Saenchai with an unexpected cross to the abdomen. And Saenchai actually got hurt tried to act like it did’nt hurt him and even tried to knock him down with the exact same technique. Meaning it did hurt him. Topic is the best fighter I've seen fighting out of the USA. Saenchai is making a fool of him from the start 'til the end. The USA has a long way to go in terms of Muay Thai skill development.

I think you are correct, however this may be purely based upon economics and not obtainable MT skill-set in the West. You see, within the USA the money for fighters can be found in boxing and MMA, and not at all MT. Thus, young fighters focus on economics for their fighting careers (boxing #1 and MMA #2). In fact, I have rarely, if ever, heard of MT fights being widely promoted within the USA--even so, no one is watching of they are--thus, they are not promoted or televised in the same way as the other two combat sports mentioned. I would personally love for the USA to invest more in to MT, as I am a huge fan, but I am not sure that is realistic in the near future; especially given the massive rise in boxing popularity as of late.
