USA, we have arrived! The YOKKAO USA Tour 2023’s first stop is Heart & Pride Muay Thai Gym Los Angeles, California. The energy is palpable; Saenchai, Duangdawnoi & Kru Fasai arrive and are ready to get straight to work. From warming up with specific shadow boxing drills, to deconstructing techniques and combinations that Saenchai uses in the ring and getting to perform them in front of the man himself. Then it’s time to use what you’ve learnt in sparring. Both Saenchai and Duangdawnoi go at it with the Muay Thai enthusiasts, displaying beautiful techniques. From Saenchais classic sharp and fast combinations, sweeps and fun antics that make these seminars so special. She hits the shinguard so there's no damage and the other person gets some good feedback. If she wanted to she can hit the side of the thigh like in the real fight and then you'd feel a lot of pain even if you're well-conditioned. She also used a teep to tip the other person off balance while they were not firm on the ground and in the middle of trying to do a move. That's just a sharp push, but it's not painful. Generally for people who spar, they should know the basics and have conditioned their abs at least a little bit.
