foreeaal. Like in any animation, you can distinguish between either Kanno or Sawano. I don't know how either.
@yanshero425 жыл бұрын
@@noneedtoknowme I believe in Sawano's case it's a whole lot easier. Don't get me wrong, since I first heard his music in Blue Exorcist, I have been one of his biggest fans, but he has a lot of trademark elements that always make it clear that it's him (whether it's the use of female vocals for his more epic songs, the way he employs a piano in his sadder more quiet pieces or in general how he structures his osts for epic moments so that the sound fades out for a short moment of silence to be succeeded by loud solo vocals and following accompaniment.) His last few soundtracks have predominantly featured big orchestral epics with swelling strings and powering drum beats, synths etc. Therefore I do find his recent stuff is much easier to recognize than his earlier work.
@noneedtoknowme5 жыл бұрын
skimven4242564 oh yeah definitely. The way he blows you away with his music is what makes me love the anime scenes so much more even if the plot sucks 😂
@yanshero425 жыл бұрын
@@noneedtoknowme Yesss! You're right about that! I remember anituber Demolition D+ once made this video about Aldnoah Zero and attributed the hype moments to Sawano's music as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWrLaJeporRmbsU Sawano really does elevate the series he's a part of!

Signature Kanno, a perfect blend of jazz, impressionism and romanticism, with a sprinkling of the experimental and ethnic.

Pretty sure part of it is the unique way she employs jazz chords to any kind of music (very evident in this track). The way she does it gives a certain unmistakable warmth to all her pieces.

gotta love how Yoko Kanno-san can turn a simple OST into a super emotional track (although it doesn't mean to be that way, right off the bat! XD). I recognized her work since I listened to Card Captor Sakura OST and got the exact same feeling. Man, she sure is a living legend.
