We used to rock this one in my college choir back in the day. Yolanda, I was the last musician/director for the Bethel Male Chorus from Reidsville, NC back in the day with Leon, Arthur, Clay, and the guys. We used to travel to Houston often to sing for Southeast's anniversary weekend. I also accompanied you on keys a couple of times when you came to NC. Thank you for the amazing example you've set over the years as both a gospel artist and humanitarian. I'm in Chicago now teaching Black Gospel Music History & Performance at Northwestern University. I saw this video a few years ago, I was soooo disappointed to see them with cameras recording while backing her up?!?!? You’re supposed to at least act like you aren’t star struck or whatever is the reason for not respecting the ministry and who you’re ministering to. Secondly, I agree, they weren’t paying attention (even the director?!) when she came back I came back with her the first time I heard this. Maybe there’s different levels of back up or upbringing. We were always ready for wherever the leader would go planned and unplanned. Props to Yolanda ✊🏾🎶💜for keeping it going and even changing where she was to be in unity with the choir🙄, she shouldn’t have had to do that🤦🏾‍♀️ I actually did enjoy the new version minus those obvious mishaps
