I decided to watch this on a flight from South Carolina to Denver. The montage where she qualifies to fight actually got me emotional. If you can get through the 1st half of this movie, the payoff is well worth it..

Now this is how you write a strong female lead role! Like she is a normal f:ing person with struggles, that in turn gives her a purpose and motivation to change and be better. Strength dont mean knowing everything and being able to be better then everyone at whatever.. But to be able to rise and keep going in hardship. Accepting flavs with grace and respect. And in losses working on the things you can change about YOU. Cuz the world will never bend for you, and just make you a "superhero" cuz you "feel" you deserve it.

It was the climax boxing match for me. I've seen so many Hollywood movies about boxing but this one was at another level. You can actually feel the physical and mental struggle of the protagonist in the boxing match.... the sheer intensity of the fight. It felt like a real fight. Kudos to the direction and the actor.

honestly if you've not watched her other movie; lets put it this way. I cried for a good 4 hours after - and not for the reasons that are obvious. It's a comedy at heart. But it resonated shockingly deeply as a millenial woman who grew up in an asian household. I wouldn't watch it again, I can't put myself through that. But would recommend once.

Nice video! I saw this film a couple of weeks ago, and i did enjoy it and didn't feel the run time. . . . That flashback at the end broke my 💔. I don't think i would have done those things for them after what happened. It goes back to the apples 🍎 conversation....✌️😶
