I agree with your comments. I fell in love with this game and played it about 25 times or more. I'm a 72 yr old Grandmother and it's a pleasure to play something that is not about fighting. It's my go-to game when I need something peaceful and relaxing. I bought it when it first came out and have always enjoyed playing each time I play the game.

Sounds like it might be up my alley. I used to play the Myst game series, but not to finish the game - just to wander around in the immersive environments and soak up the soundscape. I’ve been looking for something like that for the Nintendo Switch… think I’ll take a chance on Yonder.

Thanks, this video was very useful and informative, it's let me know exactly what I needed to and convinced me to give it a try! It's so hard to find good quality reviews like this on here, most of the time it's just an annoying person shouting loudly while waving their arms around to crappy intro music with very little talk of the game. I clicked on this video over the others because I saw Vivi as the avatar and knew that'd be the most sensible, I'm glad to say I was right :) Thanks again for such a useful video.

There's a funny thing when I read something saying a game is like Stardew Valley or Breath of the Wild, where I think, "Hm, I guess you never heard of Harvest Moon then, or have no idea what the original Zelda games were like back on the NES?" Because Stardew Valley is more like Harvest Moon than most games compared to Stardew Valley are like it, and Breath of the Wild is about as far from the original Zelda games as anything could get. 😁

So I brought it to my farm and when I adopted it I found it in the large pen, as the regular size of a normal groffle. 😭

Similarly to some other comments I too like games that aren't focused on battle. What I love to do is explore, solve puzzles, preferably in a beautiful setting. Turn based pixelated JRPG are a favourite. The dragon quest series are my go to. If I have to I will fight, but that's just a necessary evil to talk to people and solve quests (although breath of the wild kind of eased me into the more battle like games) Will pick this one up for sure, thanks. Do you have any other recommendations?

My brain was screaming throughout the video because while the visuals are nice, so many aspects of it seem shamelessly ripped from BotW and even Wind Waker (2:13)
@aradiameg63104 жыл бұрын
i can’t say about wind waker but this game was originally released on pc the same year as BotW (only about 4 months after) so while the visual aspects may seem extremely similar they more than likely couldn’t have been ripped from it. (i hope i’m not coming off as rude or anything 😅)

I just wanted to watch this video coz I have a type of seizures with flashing lights and judging from this review it isn’t that bad.. but when I don’t get a seizure I’ll get very bad headaches or migraines.. the visuals look really good but I don’t really like the haziness of the environment and lights.. it’s nice don’t get me wrong but yeah I would definitely buy it.. it’s just I need to be cautious when I’m feeling tired or I’m focusing too hard sometimes.. I have Irlen syndrome.. for people that don’t know what that is it’s like your eyes/brain is allergic to light also in known as light sensitivity.. you can get this condition either by genetics or whiplash.. I got mine genetically.. but it can cause co-morbid disabilities.. such as autism (which I have.. aka Aspergers) that and ADD (which I also have) and a few other things..

Hi, there are two things which may help you. Getting a blue light filter app for your phone (also for your computer. If you have windows 10, there is a night light option which is basically the same blue light filter) And getting a pair of blue light filtering glasses :) Although they may not cure your condition, they certainly can help a lot. This game had both good and bad. But you got to address the elephant in the room. Look, the game is beautiful, sure, but that wares off after a certain amount of hours and content matters. And you can make very creative games where there's no combat. That'd been done before usually using a stardew valley of my time at Portia as a reference for that kind of world. This game had a bad sort of problem, almost as bad as no man's sky was. I'll explain what I mean. Can you craft in this big world "you sort of craft" not really but you sort of do, just a little bit. This game said you can be a farmer and farm if you wanted so can you do that? "You sort of are a farmer" in the same way that Elon Musk is sort of an astronaut. I mean, is he? Kind of, he does space related things if you use a very loose definition for the term astronaut. OK, well, they promised trading, right? So what if you want to be a business tycoon trading every step, making a business empire. Well, you can sort of a businessman or woman in the same way the kid selling lemonade on the street is. In fact, being broke is pretty common when playing. It even promised you to be able to create a business making and selling clothes. It's kind of cool, especially if you're into fashion. You sort of make clothes by missing random stuff together. You don't really have an input in what the end result looks like, and you're definitely not making a business out of it. In fact, you're not making any of your own business. You just help others with theirs. Which would be fine if that wasn't something that was a big draw and promise that was made to you. But it was along with many more that weren't delivered or changed. In fact, unlike no mans sky, this wasn't patched in or even ever a dlc. The games' whole draw was the freedom to do as you wish you to live the dream and chase your personal clouds. Instead, they took the literal approach to that you follow a script this whole game to build a ship. Then the developers actually got mad at gamers who pointed that out and shot then down with "we did technically deliver." And refused to ever improve into making sort of into just of. I bought this game because of reviews like this and learned the hard way that if they have to use words like pretty, peaceful, and relaxing, then that's usually all the game has. But it's one of the weirder ones because this game has a crazy fan base. Not crazy as in big numbers but crazy in the head. They were straight lied to and got hit with technicalities on what was actually promised and couldn't he happier about it. With no man's sky, people straight threatened to blow up their office. But this game found the masochist of gamers. They pulled the same thing as no man's sky. The only difference is that they liked it. "It's pretty it's relaxing." Yes, a game would be very relaxing if there's straight nothing to do. There's no pressure to do anything because there's nothing important to do, period. Even for your own goals. And pretty? It's 2023. What game isn't now a days. With many of them looking straight up like movies. My fiancee, the other day, straight said the other day that she didn't know it was football season or she would have been watching it too. As I was playing Madden. She straight couldn't tell it apart from real football. She caught herself when she saw the buttons iver head when the ball was snapped. It's pretty. Yeah, I guess man that's great. But some of the best games are ugly because of its content. Does anyone remember df? That's was straight pixels. So was a stardew valley. Even wow, it was ugly for a while, and it had a huge following because it had great content. Sorry this is long, but this is one weird fan base. But take the warning as you wish too.
