Yong thong Tsering Lhakpa: Wedding Ritual Master (Mola)

Tsering Lhakpa ཡོལ་གདོང་ཚེ་རིང་ལྷག་པ།
Tsering Lhakpa is one of the most experienced wedding ritual master in the Tibetan Diaspora community. Lhakpa has consistently conducted traditional Tibetan marriage rituals since the 1970s in Nepal following the customs predominant in the U-Tsang region of Tibet, and remains in demand for this position even in his advanced age. Lhakpa tells VOA that unlike before, more youths are paying attention to this important tradition of marriage rituals, giving him much hope for its continued survival.
