I would like to say two things: 1. Solar's grammar isn't perfect yet she makes her point very clear. It shows that you don't need to be perfect in a language to be able to speak or to communicate! 2. having an elementary teacher explaining things is actually a very good idea! They explain what seems to be complex in a very easy way. This is especially great for things like learning a language. Well done solar! 👏🏻

anna yeah the most important thing when you’re a learner is to make your point very clear, you want people to understand you even if you’re a beginner. She’s really good at it so I’m pretty sure she can learn languages pretty easily :)! (I’m only saying this because I was the same when I was learning English and now I’m onto my third language)

INxJ not sure to be honest. Judging by other bits i saw her speaking and this video i think she is on a low conversational level, although i have a strong feeling that she understands more than she can speak. A very normal thing anyway. If she has the desire to learn further and to hold a conversation, i think she has to built up some easy topic based vocabulary (typical things like hobbies, talking about the weather, coffeeshop scenarios, etc) and to keep using it in simple back and forth conversation. Reading book might stress her because of her minimal vocabulary. but maybe watching simple stuff in English with Korean subtitles and then later with English subtitles and then eventually without subtitles.. This is just judged by what i saw her speaking in videos.

Sorry, but no. One language training per week is nowhere near enough for you to be able to speak fluently. It might be enough to speak at elementary school level though, and I suspect that that is enough to have a short conversation in a world tour

​@@blackmould Do you happen to know how old it was at the time of passing? I lost a dog last year who only became 7 years old due to illness (lymphoma) which was really sad. We had lost another older dog due to illness as well, although that was her liver failing because of the medicine she had to take her entire life due to epilepsy. She became 13 years old though, so while it was sad, it was also expected. However, we had expected to have the younger dog for a longer time, and it all developed really quickly. We could've let her go through chemotherapy, but she was extremely scared of travelling, and we would've had to travel a lot and frequently for that, and we didn't want to put her through that stress. My parents got a puppy this summer because they just felt too lonely without a dog. While no dog can replace another, they are happy with the dog they adopted. She's cheerful and energetic, so my parents have been significantly happier since then.

As an online English Teacher for 6 years (2 years with Japanese and Korean adult students and 4 years with Chinese students, mostly kids), lemme share my ASSESSMENT of Solar's English level. Solar's English level is High Beginner to Low Pre-Intermediate level. She can understand basic words and can construct four-word sentences with proper grammar. Her pronunciation is clear with a bit of a neutral accent. She needs to practice pronouncing words with /L/ sound and those words in past tense that end with /d/ and /ed/. She also needs to focus on learning and mastering words for Middle to High Pre-Intermediate level to challenge herself and to keep her level going up. I suggest that she learns "Everyday Expression" and "Travel Expression" books as her interest is in line with these lessons. Watching movies like Toy Story will also help. Learning 2 new words everyday and applying them in daily conversation will help her vocabulary improve. Practice makes perfect. Solar, fighting!
