I'd like to point out one thing that happened during 2019 that shouldn't be overlooked and that's *all* the indie dev's that took Epic's cash and decided to screw over thier kickstarter/backers. Not just Shenmue 3 but Phoenix Point, OOBLETS and all the other indies that went Epic store exclusive in 2019 after reaching their target goals. Treating Kickstarters/Backers like their money only exists to get you're idea off the ground 'is some f*cked-up corporate mentality right there. You simply don't ditch the people that got you to where you are... Especially if they are in fact you're targeted audience 'cause you definitely don't want what happened to the dev's of OOBLETS to happen to you lol. Honestly that married couple must be off six shotcuts to retardvile to not only insult their backers, playerbase and the Internet for making lite of backer concerns and criticism for going Epic exclusive but being complete asshat's after securing the Epic money saying we're "all toxic entitled gamers" and "man babies" lol. Those idiots murdered their own game for f*cks sake AND ruined any potential future projects lol.

What ? RDR2's online doesn't count because it wasn't made good until 2019, no remakes do not count because all you're doing is updating graphics. It's over glorified patching. VR releases also don't count because the only people who buy in to it are people who have a career on KZbin or more money than sense. That said... I won't deny there were good games released in 2018. However there was also a deluge of horrible games that were so awful or forgettable I've apparently repressed the memory. However a few jump out at me like... -yet another call of duty loaded with micro transactions -Fallout 76 and that never ending dumpster fire that is apparently still a raging inferno to this day -The Walking Dead telltale finale -Metro Exodus ( both the game going bland open world and Epic's bungling of its release ) -Battlefield V launching with a ton of missing features -Kingdom Hearts ( I consider any game where I have to do hours of research just to understand wtf is going on to be poorly done ) -Dynasty Warriors 9 -Far Cry 5 being yet another forgettable Ubisoft open world sandbox

@Agent 005 I think you mean against Bioware. Plot twist, Bioware was 95% responsible for why Anthem sucked ass. Look up Jason Scheier's article on the subject, or watch Angry Joe's video where he discusses what went wrong with Anthem. Never been one to defend EA, they're scumbags no matter what, but the only thing EA enforced was the use of the Frostbite engine for Anthem even though that engine isn't suited for open-world style games.
