I agree with the end sentiment. I will always remember my experience of Northern Ireland and it has made me who I am today. Life is so precious and we should cherish it more? We take too much for granted in this modern day.

It should be noted that the murder of those two British soldiers after speeding into a funeral was the direct result of an attack on a catholic funeral a few days previously which resulted in the deaths of 3 innocent mourners, and wounded more than 60 people. The funeral the soldiers sped into was the funeral of some of those killed by loyalist Michael Stone who attacked the mourners with grenades and bullets. When that car sped into the crowd it is more than understandable they thought they were being attacked again. The murder of the soldiers was outrageous and disgusting, and should never have happened, but you need to put things into context if you want to be taken as credible!

It's a complicated history that can't be summerised in a you tube comment...it's 800 years of conflict, religion doesn't play a huge part as many people think as the irony in Irish history is colossal...the north was gerrymandered after the civil war and Ireland has a history of paramilitarism that runs deep in some communities, when the recent trouble broke out in 1969 that lasted 30 years the Brits who were claiming to be peacemakers shot 14 innocent people dead in Derry and was the biggest catalyst for IRA recruitment....the army and police were at war with the nationalist community and the security forces were majority protestant and unionist and everyday there was political assassinations and bombings, honestly only scratching the surface here in a nutshell, it's a very complicated history and could write u a book Twenty inches thick before you get the outlook...Irish history is nuts buddy
