tea tastes more sugery while cold because the liquid can absorb more sugar while hot. so the relative sugar-containment in the liquid is higher in cold tea.

@@sirPokerick while the changes in perception of taste arguement can be true, sugar not "dis-dissolving" when cooled down is false. to see this though, you have to put enough sugar in hot tea/liquid to the maximum until you see sugarchrystals not dissolving at the bottom of your cup. now when you cool down the tea, you will see more sugar chrystals at the bottom of the cup because like i said, the hotter a liquid is, the more sugar it can dissovle. to bring it back to the taste arguement: 80% of possible sugardissolvement-limit hot tea should not taste sweeter than 100% sugardissolvement- limit cold tea if that makes sense? you coould make the arguement though to heat up the liquid hot enough, that it could dissolve way more sugar than cold tea ever could dissolve but i guess it will evaporate or not even drinkable :D
