We hope you enjoy this York, England, The Shambles to Jorvik Viking Centre 4K Historic Walking Tour UK.
We start this tour of York, England in the medieval street known as The Shambles. A favourite with Harry Potter fans due to the magic inspired shops along its route, this leads us into Shambles Market before heading to King's Square - site of York's Chocolate Story. We follow Low Petergate to discover the beautiful Gothic Cathedral and on to the Jorvik Viking Centre. Join us and stroll through the streets of the old town centre, where we see the many, restaurants, cafes and traditional pubs. Our 4K historic walking tour finishes at the River Ouse, just outside of the old town.
York, England was founded by the Romans and is enclosed by 13th-century walls. The medieval architecture and its huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral make it a popular tourist destination in England / UK. Filmed on an Osmo Pocket in 4K60

thanks for this. i'm struggling in life at the mo after the death of my mum and videos like this give me something to look forward to. I'd like to visit. I always asked my mum to travel with me and she kept putting it off esp after COVID. This is one of places she would have probably visited with me and actually enjoyed. That makes me quite sad. Let that be a warning to those who get invited to travel and keep putting it off. You never know what's round the corner in life. You can get an illness out of nowhere so never put things off. Thanks for the video.

Hello @bluebellbeatnik4945, how sorry we are to hear about the loss of your dear Mum. We have both lost our beloved parents and recognise what a difficult time it is when you lose someone so loved. We do agree that it's so easy to put things off and it often takes something profound to wake us up to that. We feel very humbled to bring you our little walking tours and we wish you all the very best.

İ shall never ever forget the time i spent in York vvhile i vvas studying for a master at the university of York in the years 1977-1978.İt seems to me like a dream after all these years spent in other parts of the vvorld. The Shambles ,Parliament street and the place,Blossom street in vvhich i lived for some time,TheMinster i vsited many times and the medieval music i attended(an incredible angelic voice of a girl of 18 accompanied by medieval musical instruments...all this stands definitely like a dream i had instead of a true reality in my memory !)İ love York, and i shall revisit soon that marvelous city
