WOW! A really EXCELLENT video showing much of what York Minster has to offer. My favourite of all of England's Cathedrals and the glasswork and its history alone makes it a wonder of the world! Did you see the statue of Constantine the Great outside the Minster? Raised to the Imperial throne of Rome when in York with his father (who died there) before marching with his armies throughout the Empire to safeguard his throne from other claimants. He legalised Christianity throughout the Roman Empire. About 1,700 years ago, but still he surveys the scene. Who of us will be remembered in 1,700 years time?

I wasn't expecting a video at 3.00pm. 😲 I had nothing to do with the fires. It took me four goes to get my Halloween lanterns to stay alight. (Had to drill extra holes). Starting at 17:18. It looks like there's a mouse or something climbing up the central window thing right at the top. I doubt you could see it on a phone. I think there's a Blue Peter item about the reconstruction, especially the bosses. When I was at school we were given the chance to go right to the top of the church......by climbing a ladder!!! needless to say I did not take up the offer. I don't care if it does have a cage.
