YORK WALK - Micklegate - Kings Staith - Cliffords Tower - The Shambles - Kings Square - York Minster
Take a walk around the City of York starting at Micklegate Bar and heading down Micklegate to the River Ouse and Kings Staith, along the river Ouse to the Castle Gardens, Cliffords Tower with views of the Castle Museum.
From Cliffords Tower we walk past the Hilton hotel and through the Coppergate Centre which is home to the famous Jorvik Viking Centre, and onto Parliament Street, the Shambles Market and through the amazing Shambles into Kings Square.
A quick walk through Kings square and we head up Low Petergate towards the awe inspiring York Minster Cathedral and the statue of Constantine the Great.
We pass by the Stonemasons workshop into College Street, Goodramgate and round Ogleforth and Chapter Street back towards the Minster and through Deans Park and the main entrance of the Minster.
Next we walk along High Petergate and through Bootham Bar into St Leonards Pace and York Art Gallery.
A quick look around Exhibition Square and then back towards the city centre, past York Theatre Royal , along Blake Street and completing our walk in St Helens Square which is home to the famous Bettys Tea Rooms and The Ivy.
Please accept my apologies for the video quality being quiet poor in parts, trhis is due to me not dialing in the correct settings so the camera had to use a higher ISO and resulted in some quiet bad static video noise in the darker parts of the walk.
