Best track guides for ACC bar none. Have watched Silverstone, Monza & now Brands. Your use of graphics for visual representation is brilliant. Explanations of where, when and how are concise and do not in any way confuse. It's obvious how much time and effort has been put into each guide, there's an evident passion & commitment here that is rarely seen in other guides available. Thx Yorkie for the time you take to do this. I know it's what you do but you do it so much better!

I got ACC two days ago and my first wheel rig. In the Lexus im hitting ~1:30consistently, and PB is 1:28.7 Great track guide. My I’m braking too early and turning too early into paddocks. A fraction early on the brakes at turn two. Turns 5 and 6 I’m braking too much and turning too late, not utilising the exit enough and consequently am one gear down from where I should be (driving in my comfort zone). Turn into the start of the straight I need to brake harder and later and turn in earlier to get back on the power. I’m coasting a little through it currently to make sure the car is settled I think with the standard car set up, I should be able to get down to a 1:25 best and be consistently hitting 1:27/28 pace. Great guides, thanks

I find this track to be so challenging, it's not even funny. Turn 1 is just a nightmare, but I'm struggeling even more in turn 4 - I just can't stop myself from turning in waaaaay too early here. Anyways, I really enjoyed this in-depth guide and the video format as a whole. I will be looking forward for the other videos in this series. Thanks for the great video. One thing that would be nice though, is if you were to draw the racing line. As I mentioned above, the line in turn 4 isn't all that obvious - at least for me ;)

Ur almost 1/2 a second faster than my best times in GTR and 911 GT3 yet it doesn't even seem like your track is set up on optimal grip! Impressive. Definitely learned something here, esp the way you flick the nose in to t4 before getting on the brakes, and then your overall braking area is shorter and harder than what I typically do up the off-camber hill and out onto the straight. I'm also usually trailbraking throughout the turn-in into t5, and usually have issues getting a consistent fast line through that corner due to vehicle instability

@Yorkie0653 жыл бұрын
Thanks. For setup, I pretty much take the Aggressive setup, change the tyre pressures so they're around 27.5 PSI when hot, Brake Pads 1 and then reducing the Brake Ducts. That's about it unless there is something pretty off with the car that isn't working for me.

Cant find a good setup for my 911 gt3 r. My left side tires are overheating. Great track guide. I can do the mid 1:24 but with overheating tires, its too hard to be consistent.
@Yorkie0654 жыл бұрын
Change your approach and look after the tyres a little more. Drive into the corners a little slower and focus on getting good runs off the exit. The back section of the track is punishing on the lefts, so try to control the speed to look after the tyres a little more through there to give you better more consistent long run pace.

Excellent video! I’m getting frustrated though. I’m running mid to high 1:24s. I have no ideas how to get to the 23s or even 22s as some people get here on youtube. I basically use the same the lines as you and have tried others. Different setups from other people that didn’t work for me and just eventually use my own. But have no idea how some other people go 1.5-2s faster. What are your thoughts? Keep up the great work!
@Yorkie0654 жыл бұрын
I imagine it's due to peoples setup or track conditions. A track like Brands Hatch which is especially punishing on the left side tyres, slightly cooler conditions will do them a world of good and get a little extra grip, ontop of an optimum track if they're running it (this lap here was on a fast track). I would say setup and consistent practice, and not overdriving the car into the corners which is quite easy to do hear would be the key. Sometimes the pace just unlocks when you focus on getting into a flow and rhythm, and not push the car too hard.
@Bratmouse14 жыл бұрын
Yorkie065 yeah I did my times on a optimum track. what would you consider max hot tire pressures . Before you over heat them?
@Yorkie0654 жыл бұрын
I'd be looking to keep the tyre pressures between 27.5 and 28.0 PSI. Basically slap bang in the middle of the range is what I aim for.
