It rains 90% of the time up here. The views from Hartside are hard to beat when the sun is out. My 80th birthday ride was over Hartside in sunshine then right hand down a bit, to Long Meg & her Daughters which is the 2nd largest stone circle in England. Never been there before.

Great ride ladies. I loved scenery and next time I am in UK I will ride those roads. I did 1700 miles last year around NC 500 and beyond. Loved it ! Thanks to my Liverpool friends who supplied the bike and organised the ride. It took seven days and we had some great sunshine. this video reminds me of that. Always surprises me, just how many drivers reverse and don't check. Why I don't like parking bike behind other vehicles. Even my heart was in my mouth just watching the beginning of this video.

Road Closed... while riding around the country in that wonderful bygone August weather, I passed about 5 or 6 of these Road Closed signs but ignored them. With the exception of just one of these supposedly "closed" roads, only one had any sort of road works going on, but it was easy to pass through it! I'm sure, when they have finished the "work" they forget to go gather up the signs. It was the same with the three FLOODING signs that I passed in August..., remember, then when we had so many floods because of all that hot and dry weather🤔!!? Fantastic rides with humourful gab, giving me so many reasons to laugh on this very drab weekend here, and worth at least 9 thumbs up! Look forward to the next "Girls Ride Out" video. At 18:11 the road to the right by the 4x4 is the highest road in England and leads to the highest A road in England, and alternative way to get to Alston. I did on a day out from The Lake District after The Hardnott, Wrynose, Kirkstone and Hartside, before going back via The Honister and Buttermere. Awesome part of the world

When I left St Helens, I rode the same way as you did on day 1, but only the Bolton - Ramsbottom - Padiham - Nelson strech. Here I keeled over to the left riding through Colne, Silsden then round the north side of Leeds to my next stop in Pontefract, where I, this time, successfully met up with another of my KZbinr heroes. The whole of Yorkshire is so beautiful, it needs a whole week to ride all the rides and see the sights... at least. Something for me to ponder on! You'rer so lucky to have all those (especially made for bikers?) roads, not far from your backdoor step! Yeah, I know... i've got a few good'ns round here as well, but yours are different..., the other mans grass is always greener?

Hi Kate, I just watched you ride the mountain on the Island, the main thing that struck me was, and what impressed me about you was you didn't follow the rider in fronts line, you chose your own line that shows independent thinking, you have your own instinctive strategy it came naturally to you. I LOVED that! that's so rare well done, really well dome. You're a genuinely great rider and getting better and more refined as you go on. It would be great to see both you and Lillie on a couple of powerhouses of your choice going for it over the mountain, but watch that wind! Like I said keep it up, you're amazing girls and there should be more like of you, and I think there will be following your inspiring and fun rides. Kate, you have a unique and wonderfully playful formula don't change it you're a real breath of fresh air.

I highly recommend the Alpine Moto Safe earplugs. I prefer the touring version as it lets you still hear most things but makes a dramatic difference in wind noise. Don't let that tinnitus become worse! BTW I love Lillie's backpack/satchel thingy. It's so cool
