The biggest challenge is editing in, so many of these beautiful trails! lovely loop!
@TrailFinder3 жыл бұрын
Hi Adam. I try keep my vids around the 15min mark. But like you say sometimes that is so hard to do especially when trying to tell a little story and the scenery is so nice. It’s hard to edit stuff out. You have to be ruthless sometimes. Had 3 hrs of footage on this ride. Cut down to 22 mins

All cameras are terrible with no form of wind cover. Think about recording separately and syncing in post. Extra work. But you can see the end result with my vids. Well worth it

I relate to this completely, because I ride mostly on my own, I've set a on the hour reminder on my Garmin to remind me to eat as I always forget to or think, I'll just get up this climb first...& before I know it, I'm running out of fuel. Going to do this route this afternoon (1/2 day off). Thanks for the .gpx file

@@TrailFinder really enjoyed it Andy. Only marred by wicked headwind on rocky lane climb back from furthest point out. I loved the little loop off to the left & that great single track. Would have taken me hours longer had I had to navigate with a map so thanks again for the .gpx route

That dude summed up gravel riding perfectly. It doesn’t replace MTB, it just increases the range you can go on mild off road routes. MTB will always be my preferred type of riding but I love doing epic gravel rides too. I recommend one hugely. It would expand your channel massively too.
@TrailFinder3 жыл бұрын
I’m very interested I must say. Ribble cycles do some cracking one. Also been looking at extremely light xc hard tails. Love the Scott scale RC. As a fitness bike and long distance.
@PACEUK223 жыл бұрын
@@TrailFinder it’s a tough call between an xc bike and gravel bike. I went for the gravel bike as I also use it for commuting to work(road,canal,gravel route) and it’s brilliant for that. Riding drop bars also makes mundane trails gnarly again 😂 I really miss the dropper though. I might get one for the gravel bike someday . Ultimately I think that if you think you’d be riding a fair bit of road to link up the off road sections, I’d go gravel. However, If you’re mostly riding off road, an xc MTB is probably the way to go.
@McCaf-19623 жыл бұрын
Absolutely everything around the dales is rideable on a decent hardtail and still pretty much as fast on the road sections , you'd struggle on a gravel bike on lots of the gnarly bits.

When you responded to me last about the drone footage, I was actually in the Hope valley! Got there early 8.30 What a ride well worth the 2.5 hour journey from Woburn , did the 24 mile KOMOOT loop Heyfield / jacobs ladder beast ride , finished up with fish and chips in Castletown. Loads of riders out lots of great chats with folk ! Loved it got some footage as well !

That Deviate I’ve got so much to say about it . So smooth over the Rocks, to be able to leap into any gear with out pedalling is genuinely a game changer. But all the ebike questions about it , a just brilliant!
