One of the best drives I ever had was on the A684 in the north of England, between the M6 and A1M motorways. It was one of those rare moments when not once, for 63 miles (105km) was there a single car on my side of the road and only a couple on the other side. Driving a Saab 9000 3L V6 Turbo. A bit of a bus but magnificent mid-range torgue. I could see through every bend in the road and nailed it all the way. Was a joyous drive, well remembered even after 20 years.
