Yosemite National Park urges visitors: Don’t bury toilet paper!

In a recent Facebook post accompanied by compelling photos, Yosemite Park officials issued a plea: “DON’T BURY TOILET PAPER!” The images capture the park’s natural beauty - flowing water, majestic mountains and serene greenery - but also reveal the unsightly presence of used toilet paper near Rancheria Falls.

Did a 7 day backpack trek through the Sierras. We did as we were told and carried TP and brown paper bags to pack it out (inside ziploc). However more recently I purchased a bidet attachment for my Smart water bottle which squirts at 90 degrees, eliminating most of the need for TP (but bring some anyways). Here in Canada backcountry trail management has very different philosophies, and outhouses are far more common even in remote back country trails. Rangers recommend bear spray in Canada but it is banned in Yosemite - weird.

🎉🎉🎉🎉 SHALOM Beautiful Mrs Taylor. Please allow me to share what I have done. I am forced to do Church outside. Our Government has arrangements: get a personal small 🪣. Keep cleaning up supplies, rubbing alcohol or cleaning wipes. Clean underwear. Small spray bottle. Large garbage bag. These are some starting supplies for the outdoor rest room. The large garbage bag. Can be used as a cover so one can see your boom while u use the bucket or space in the ground away from your sleeping rest area. The smell and aroma of the cleaning supplies will bring attention to your rest area. Queen please add what u can for other's safety. I apologize for The USA National Park Rangers and Rest Area employees having to go through this madness. Please take care Happy blessed Friday Sabbatical
