I met yoshiki in person at a party about 2 months ago and he went on the piano and played a couple tunes, got some pictures with him the talked for a while with some champagne and then he sat down again and started to play red swan. No doubt in my mind the best celebrity I’ve ever met

Everyone is judging on Hyde's singing, saying it's bad and he's old so on. I don't think you people know the program they went on they were drinking talking it's very casual and he was sick at the time. They didn't really care and was pretty high. I think you people need to watch some recent live to actually judge on his current condition and not base it on this video. His band recently early Feb before all the coronavirus were doing concerts. He still sounds amazingly perfectly the same. That's when he's not drinking high and sick. It makes a huge difference.

I've known HYDE since his L'arc~en~Ciel days, I was around 4 years old at the time and I've always had a crush on him. I loved his voice, and I've always listened to their songs. My favourite is Forbidden Lover, Blurry Eyes, and Kaze ni Kienaide. I understand that his voice is like this now since he's getting old, and maybe he's sick while performing but his voice never changes. Once you hear his voice, you'll know that it's him. Still amazing!

Hyde's actually a really really good singer (he can easily hit fabulous falsetto too). Back in mid 90s to early 00s his former band, L'arc~en~Ciel, was huuuuge in my country. Basically every girl who are now in their 30s or 40s had (a lot still do) a crush on him. Their song "Hitomi no Jyuunin" has always been my fave, my uncle (rest in peace) introduced me to their music.

Okay for all the people talking bad about his vocals, the kind of dynamics japanese artists like to use are very different from the way other countries sing. And the guy who sings this song is clearly a rock or metal singer but he is singing basically a ballad which is the complete opposite of what he is peobably use to, and you can tell that the singer knows the he isnt in his best condition because he cuts a lot of phrase off or he dosent fully sing certain parts like in the recorded version.

Yoshiki is one of the first pianist that I noticed that would purposely bash notes really hard to express like anguish, passion feeling etc (i'm sure there are many other's, only taken interest in piano for about a year). The little repetitive in this reminds me a bit if his piano section in Art of Life, but with a little more optimism. Amazing musician On another ... Erennnnnnnnnnn!
