Im looking to get a crf250r as my first dirtbike, im 6'1'" and 230lbs, wondering if it might be to large of a bike for be or too powerful, planning to go on the dunes with it!

Should be plenty. With 250s you want to get the most out of them. Some guys go with hot cams and mill the head. Port and polish. It will get you a few extra horses. Remember use a top notch oil. Trust me
