Is Gunjyo sturdy and not ultramarine? Hahahaha The name YOASOBI does not mean ``nightlife'', but welcome. Hahaha, it doesn't make sense in Japanese

This song is about the struggles of a man who aspires to be a painting artist and trains hard. The lyrics contain his anxiety of not knowing whether he will succeed as an artist and the encouragement to himself.

yoasobi's "gunjyou(ultra blue)" A song inspired by the popular comic "Blue Period" (written by Tsubasa Yamaguchi). The outline of "Blue Period" is as follows. -------------------------------- "Yatora Yaguchi" is a second-year student who enjoys high school life by playing with friends until morning. Still, the grades are excellent at school. Because He can handle everything smoothly He couldn't set a goal to live, but he happened to find it in the world of art. He started drawing with a single picture drawn by his senior student. Eventually, He will start studying in earnest with the aim of enrolling in the most difficult oil painting department of Tokyo University of the Arts. He started attending a preparatory school for art school entrance exams from the art department of the school. It is a story in which he meets students who are full of individuality and moves forward while being inspired. -------------------------------- This song has the background as mentioned above. He wants to immerse himself in painting, but he is worried and unconfident that his future profession will be unstable. At the same time, the lyrics often show the conflict of wanting to do what you like. There are anxieties and conflicts among growing young people. If you know the background of the song and listen to it again, you will get a different way of receiving it, which is interesting.

1:22 "How old is she?" She's only 22! ❤ And Ayase (the guy in the keyboard by her side) is 29.

YOASOBI is the group name for the duo of Ayase and Ikura. Gunjo is an amazing song. Really hard hitter for anyone that chases creative pursuits day after day after day. The chorus is also fantastic and really lets those feelings explode out that the rest of the song had dragged up. Ayase actually did the lyrics and composition for the other First Take song from Suisei called Michizure. If you end up checking it out I'm sure you'll notice it's got some of his signature sound to it.

@@YoSunnyPeah, actually yoasobi is a project called 'novels into music'. An online ebook store want to make music for their novels to advertise and they found ayase to compose, and ayase invited ikura as vocal. Also, both ayase and ikura have so many stories before their big success in yoasobi. Like ayase had his own band for 7 years but he had to give up because he could not pay his daily expense and hospitalized due to his stomach disease. When he was lying in the hospital bed, he accepted this new job and spent a year wrote the first song for yoasobi 'racing into the night' in 2019 and the song is even recorded in a KTV cause they had no money. That's how this band started. The stories in their original novels are about suicide, break up or constant failure, that's why their lyrics are so negative.
