So yes, the music is definitely written in different styles depending on the location, using instruments and composition styles from a region’s inspirations. It’s really impressive how well the team is able to fill out the world with unique and diverse music. As you can tell, this desert has Egyptian inspirations, and this is one of the desert’s open world combat tracks (not any specific boss, I don’t think).

Hoyoverse doesn't care about copyright as long as it isn’t leaks. Once it's out there, you can use their songs or videos, etc. many ppl have reacted to their stuff, or otherwise. Genshin is open world, you should check HSR, it also has great tracks since it's the same company...

Genshin Impact has a massive open-world of 89GB as of today. So far we have a German/European inspired region, Chinese inspired region, Japanese inspired region, Middle-Eastern/Indian inspired region which you listened to in this video and a French inspired region then there are underground regions where you explore a massive mine in complete darkness hiding a story of a past "cataclysm" and a world underneath the sea "beyond the depths" of an abandoned civilization of which the God was a giant serpent which today has an artificial sun illuminating your path as you explore it's Dark Souls-like ruins holding the secrets, truths and lies of the world on the surface if you look hard enough. The upcoming regions will be Spanish/Latin/South American inspired and Russian inspired I guess. Because of this Genshin Impact's team of music producers and composers had to create 1122 original soundtracks with more on it's way, to bring this world to life while working with the biggest and oldest orchestras in the world.

Genshin is perfect for exploring different cultural influences, that's one of their main things. Different regions, different cultural influences, incorporation of myths, folklore, and symbolism from all around the world. All that fun stuff. The game is like a library of references. Also, don't know if anyone has mentioned, but they have some other games besides Genshin, also with some great songs and music. Right now Honkai Star Rail is popping off with the stuff they're putting out there for that game's first anniversary.

Genshin has seven countries, five of which have been released. Each country corresponds to an element in the game and a real world culture(more or less.) They are as follows: Mondstat, land of wind and freedom (medieval Germany with some other European elements) Liyue, land of stone and contracts (China) Inazuma, land of lightning and eternity (Japan) Sumeru, land of nature and wisdom (India/Middle east/Persia/North Africa) Fontaine, the land of water and justice (late 1800s France with some England) The unreleases countries are Natlan, land of fire and war, which seems to be based on Mesoamerica and West Africa, and Snezhnaya, the land of cold and ???, which is based on Russia.

@@tooth2070 There is Arabic-Egyptian instruments there as well. The region Sumeru is based of Egypt, the middle east and india, and the Erhu is a common instrument in india

I don't know if anyone's bothered to tell you, but they had a lot of concerts for Genshin's music. That's pretty much the only place you can find covers (covers they do of their own SONGS) and Id definitely recommend you check those out after you've had a general listen of the OSTs in general. The emotion of realizing that they're about to play a song you love - and that isn't aopreciated enough - and realizing it's a rock cover? Unprecedented. I lost braincells that day from sheer hype

There is a collection of beautiful melancholic songs which capture the emotions and tragic that genshin can have. 3 ambiences and 1 boss fight. It’s about a legends, a protector of the land but people have forgotten his name. Now he is alone, enraged and malignant. The songs in question are; A storm, a spire, a sanctuary Forlorn child of archaic winds Forsaken child of ancient times And for the boss theme Cealestinum Finale Termini Id say they all are definitely worth a listen. The emotions this forgotten protector experiences are very well conveyed through the music.

Adding Chinese instrument into a Middle east/Arab/Egypt piece without violation really AMAZED me. 5:45 The music studio is called HoYo-Mix, the name tells you blending genera of music is their job🤣 BTW MiHoYo/Hoyoverse/cognosphere might be seen as "a company" which produced Genshin, HoYo-Mix is the studio exclusively working for "it". (If someone can explain more clearly plz comment) I recommend Weekly Boss themes for you to react. Quite complicated cuz there are introduction/phase I/II & III/transformation tracks, but I think the main phases tracks are enough for reaction. So... just a thought, if you want something that you might enjoy or not but will probably be entirely new to you, try the The Divine Damsel of Devastation. It's Chinese opera, which is something that I hadn't heard before even though I have been studying music as a hobby since I was 7 years old. It's a very unique experience. If you do listen, though, make sure to watch it with the game cutscene because, like in western opera, the song is a story.
