I'm sure that if you had a professional shop build an equivalent FJ, it would be way over $150k. And it probably wouldn't be as good of a build. That has to be one of, if not the best FJ on the planet. The quality throughout is excellent. Well done.

1 year and half = 78 weeks in total of labor. Let’s say 40 hours per week (which I know is more than that) = 3120 hours of hard work. Charging $25.00 per hour (saying is way cheap for the engineering and professional time and all the details = $78,000.00+ for his time/labor plus parts ($50,375.00) 💰 GRAND TOTAL 😮 **$128,375.00** 💰 THIS IS INSANE!!! If I had the money I would pay more than that just bc hi is so damn intelligent and he deserve the 💵
@austinniemela20 сағат бұрын
@@stand182jg great math there!! I would however say the $25 an hour is ridiculously low! Most shops are 50-100 per hour for basic maintenance!

I think everyone's guesses are very low. There is a company on here that restores and sells cars and trucks. Two weeks ago, I saw a 79 F 350 that was probably the nicest restore I have ever seen. They modernized it with the 7.3 Godzilla and 10 speed trans I think. It was $299,999.99. This Land Cruiser is at least as good plus we know the quality vs 30 fab guys having a bad day in a shop.

It's crazy how much the little stuff adds up I'm building everything on my new jeep build on my channel and just raw steel I'm pushing 3k but I also built the whole frame and suspension. Cut and stretched the body in 2 places so far and I'll be building front fenders and hood out of aluminum. I've kept everything as cheap as possible and it is still racking up fast.

Well done Austin. Something to be really proud of. I’m surprised by the axle price. $5k is cheap for fully built 1t axles. You could sell it to fund your next 5 projects!

I started following your channel pretty closely right after the red Toyota build, I had a 91 Toyota pickup at the time and was looking for inspiration, found a whole lot more than that here! Tons of insight and knowledge put out in a digestible way by a likable person! This build has been by far the best yet! You built it different than I would’ve but it’s still just incredible to see this thing come together from start to finish especially knowing a tiny part of the family stuff that went on during this! It’s just amazing! I can’t wait to see what comes next!

I didn’t follow from the very very beginning, but I did follow from very early on. I gotta say, I cannot wait to see this thing rock crawling. It’s going to be an absolutely badass rig and easily conquer the trails! You have countless hours of labor, a bunch of material, and thousands in tools to account for as well. It’s not just all parts, but labor, tools, and knowledge as well. That’s easily the same amount of money as the materials. It was well worth it as a viewer to see something like this being built right in front of my eyes. Inspiring, motivating, and I appreciate you being so transparent able it all. Thanks!

Thanks for the information 👍 It's a beautiful rig. Honestly, it's a lot, yet in the "world of custom " build vehicles, it's not a lot. Because of the work you did fabrication wise. Then you ended up with a superior vehicle than anything you can purchase for far less. That is built to your desires. Anyway, great rig enjoyed watching it come together. Now, as always, I am looking forward to seeing what's next. You grow any further, and you will be opening a full-fledged custom builds and fabrication shop taking on custom builds for customers.
