Recently had to replace my ladder from Roam after having my tent for almost a year now, never could get it locked it the right way at the right angle and the tent be leveled, step completely snapped on me on our last trip with my wife and kids making it a horrible trip smh, I saw you have yours locked in at a half a step right in the middle, did it truly lock in? cause everytime I try to adjust the steps just like that the black buttons never fully lock all the way out into place, that's how we snapped a step on the last ladder, could you please show a video how you set up your ladder steps, I'm struggling here🙏 my truck is stock height just have a tall bed rack idk if that contributes anything but it shouldn't be much higher then the too of your yota?

Can I install this vertical qt the back of the 4runner so I don't cover the sunroof?

If you move the tent towards the back of the roof rack, it should expose the sunroof.

The metal bar stores inside the tent. Yes it will fit on a CaliRaised rack.

How did you determine location of tent. Forward vs rear of 4runner?

We put it towards the front so it was more stable on the 4Runner. If we put it towards the rear it would be a lot of weight over the rear suspension. We ended up putting a roam case behind the tent. We actually should upgrade our rear springs for additional weight.

Probably not the best option. That's a lot of weight for the OEM rack and also in order to mount it, the tent would sit really high off the roof. And you don't want a high center of gravity.

​@Yota Xpedition one of my coworkers has been using a Thule RRT since 2019 on her TRDpri 4R. I'd say at this point it's fine.
