This means he approached her with a sudden hug before being under its effects and she mentioned he seemed drunk already. Though considering it was a “solid love potion” I guess it’d be “solid courage.” 😂

Also a nice touch is how her behavior changes overtime as well. "The first person who you come in skin contact with you'll fall in love with." And judging by it being specified they hugged... Well... It's not hard to tell what happened, pretty sure the effects shared between both of them.

First she seems a little inhibited then, she confesses to considering him potential future....whatever....lover, boyfriend, long term companion etc. etc. It sounds like potion has an effect on the giver as well as the one that drank potion when they made contact.

I could see a series, episode 2: second love potion and 2 antidotes made (for class and listener) but still debating whether to give the listener it. episode 3: after some time and guilt, gives antidote and appologizes a lot, just for the listener to actually be in love and want to stay from their own free will.
