You couldn"t put together a finer group of musicians in your wildest dreams. Mulgrew was one of those pianists that if I saw he was collaborating with others I immediately bought that disc. He doesn't get talked about enough. Nor does Phenias Newborn, jr. but that's another subject. Someone should make a project of reissuing his very fine solo recordings here in the States.

Marvelous. I don't know what you feel Bret, I kinda thought Cobb's drums were just a tad over-recorded. Meaning slightly intrusive. Jimmy Cobb is such a sensitive player! But here within the trio setting ihis sound overrode Buster Williams and even Miller's piano at times. Maybe just my problem 😢
