Virgin Voyages does not require the cruisers to pay gratuities. They pay their crew better.

We always tip on top of mandatory gratuity. I've never seen bartender tips pooled it always went to guy I gave him. You nor I even know if this sheet is real and or how to understand it. I have asked crew members directly and almost 100% say keep included gratuities instead of cash

@@jimbo23mattingly We have done 37 cruises within just the last 12 months. Several of those on Royal and Celebrity Tips are pooled They will usually have an empty liquor box. Someone hands them two dollar bills. It goes in the same box no matter who the bartender is. Every dollar into one box For written tips, they all just grab a handful of receipts and key them into the system. Pooled Cruisers have spent so many years bragging about their generosity and trying to shame those who don't do what they do that it becomes a bit of a religious discussion. An act of faith that these tips are all going to the crew. They aren't Tips are deducted from the guaranteed minimum Now one thing that Royal Caribbean does in particular (and the other lines might do) is they will bonus out a PORTION of the tips to those who get the highest survey rankings. But it's a FACT that bar tips at least on Royal and Celebrity are pooled not given to any individual We were recently on another Cruise line and they explicitly say the gratuities are the property of the cruise line to distribute as they decide. I prefer that over disclaimer than those who pretend that it's all going to the crew But thank you for watching
