Not every PVE ship has a killmark. Detractors probably are not factoring that in. A whole universe to explore, now with Sisters probes you otherwise could not get. It was a productive kill that serves a practical purpose. Deer don't shoot back either but the meat serves a purpose and hunters are respected.

I think you should consider doing some angel fw sites. You can get domination shield extenders that way which are even better than t2 and it would also allow you to get faction ammo and guns. There are times I've seen navatas on the market for 30k. Seems like that player was just using a cheap unfit ship to sit afk on a defense plex. Not saying you shouldn't count it as a kill, but it's just an easy low risk way to farm lp. I was actually surprised when I saw it had loot, because I assumed from the beginning it wouldn't be fit with anything. As other's have said, the series has been really enjoyable. It's great to show people you don't need a lot of sp or fancy modules to get kills.

Yeah, actually plexing some angel FW content is definitely on the to-do list. There are some good things in the Malakim loyalty store. Although I thought Domination shield extenders were only at the capital size?

@@tabarnoucheinterplanetary I could be wrong, but I thought I saw some medium and large extenders in there. I'm not part of angel fw my self, it's just memories from someone streaming it. Hmm... I'm looking at fuzzwork right now and they're not showing any extenders. Maybe I was thinking of the shield booster but that has limited usefulness since you should be able to build an ancillary shield booster.

First kill during my run for a stratios was an afk venture in low. I felt bad for the kill and contracted back the loot but i did love the rush. Thank you for the content!

I actually wasn't waiting at the gate. If I remember right, I had either just came through the olide gate or just landed on it. I can't remember, but it was one of my dodixie trips. Didn't pay attention to who you were, I just thought "oh this'll be easy" and shot. And to anybody not wanting to count those kills, I just got my first kill last week. It was an occator, poorly fit, at a poco in mormelot, followed by a venture and something else. Got to start somewhere

In general, it is safe to consider Bill's killboard to be very heavy "Here Be Spoilers" territory. Posted videos are usually delayed by about a week from the actual gameplay. I can't stop you from looking, butask yoursefl whether you want to ruin the surprise (oh and please don't post spoilers here in the YT comments).

I thought Angel FW was waaaay more complicated, but this is quite similar to what I did, except any, success....well shoot, now I feel quite a bit better about giving it a more passionate try. And I saw the chat, I will jump in to ask questions once my character is enlisted again.

Watching your catalysts die gave me an idea, you can commit insurance fraud to generate ISK. PVP fit something, insure it, and then try to score kills. When you die you get some ISK and maybe you get some loot.

The insurance payout is nowhere near what the hull is worth, especially also counting in what you pay to get the insurance in the first place. Even with some loot here and there you'll need to be very lucky to go plus on a hull like that. Better just gate camp and loot the wrecks lol. I managed to go plus by just looting the modules doing just that. But usually I just explore for ISK.

@@oonmm This idea is specific to the challenge where he can't use the player market. He can't sell the hulls so insurance is the only way to turn a hull into ISK

This is actually quite clever and hadn't occurred to me. Overall, the minerals are harder to come by than the isk, so I don't think this will be a good isk producing tactic in general, but it certainly does make sense on these specific Catalyst hulls.

I love the thoughtful way you explain concepts in EVE. When this is all said and done someday, I'd love a bootstrap PvP series just to focus on basically what you showed here; that the pilot behind the keyboard is the most important module.

Absolutely love the series. But I'm that kind of person to whom you can't deliver that 'pvp' part :) No negative towards you in my next words: When they turned on Winter Nexus event, I grabbed myself my first battle heron and made my first pvp kill. Felt dumb af. Then I got a tengu to hunt down those explorers in null. Made a bunch of kills. Felt absolutely numb. Stopped that nonsence and never went to such 'pvp' content again. I'm a new player, it probably makes sense to mention that (my first WN event). I predicted it to be just a camper event at the acceleration gate entrance - and it was that. Really requires those 3 IQ to pull it off. FW complexes is a different story - if they are there, they know what's up, as well as you do. So it's only fair to kill or die whatever it takes in there. Still, when I see roaming fleets beating up a solo - I feel like they just beat a child... I just hope they do that to take the system, but they usually just leave as soon as they 'score' the kill. Nothing I can do to change that feeling :)

solo pvp, now we're really into something I know nothing about! The only solo PVP I've ever done was to fit a sebo hurricane to blap a guy who'd just killed my ratting ship at the other end of a pipe from my home station.

Now for what you really do when you've gone through a gate into a camp with those kinds of numbers: If you aren't in a Covert Ops cloaked ship, switch to a overview tab that shows a lot of different types of celestial objects, ie asteroid belts, moons, planets, stations, the sun, all kinds of stuff.......zoom in on your ship and see where the front is aiming, and if you loaded into that system and happen to be pointed at a celestial you can warp to, choose that one and click warp. Theres no guarantee that you won't get insta locked and pointed, but it'll be a faster align time and give you another bit in your favor to warp off. This won't, of course, work if they have an interdictor that can just bubble up, but hey. tl;dr and ahead of any responses: yes, I'm aware his goal is to die in glory a load of times until he gets a kill. This message obviously isn't for him.

Hey! Thanks for commenting. I'm afraid this isn't true. Your ship doesn't "point" in any direction when it is not moving. Aligning in any direction is equally fast when warping off from a gate jump, even if some directions show your ship turning around and some don't. It's a spherical Catalyst.

whats your position on goading miners into a PVP fight, and ganking miners, both in hi-sec? personally i think the former is cowardice, they are miners and likely dont even have anything to fight with, let alone the training, but the second, well it actually just helps the demand :) ive personally contributed some ISK to the last Hulkageddon prize fund (not much, 10mil) that i was around for, its good-ish lol :)

He can travel through highsec, he just can't do actives in highsec (other than visiting stations) with non corvettes.
