I remember this song when my friend played it to me while I was admitted in the hospital, recovering from traumatic, shock, suicidal ideation and depression. Everytime I listen to it, I can't help but cry like a little baby. Jesus lifted me from the rock bottom. I shall have that chapter of my life etched in my heart. I will sing this song with my future wife in the wedding, and I want this song to be played when I die.

My mum passed away on 15 July 2019. I went back to my hometown because I wanted to spend my time with my family specially on my mums holiday. I’m pregnant too and was craving for mums doughnuts. I arrived in Indonesia from UK on 28 June 2019. Since the first day of mums holiday I spent the entire time with her and my big family. My dad even slept in different room as he let me to slept with my mum every night. I spent days going out and we had great time. 15july 2019 mum was suddenly struggling to breathe and not even 30 mins she passed away on the way to hospital. It was so quick and such a shock for us. Cos mum wasn’t even sick before. Now I’m back to UK and feel struggle leaving my dad and my lil sis and Bro in Indonesia. Specially with this pregnancy that on first semester we nearly lost the baby. But I believe Jesus will never ever leave me. He made everything in best way. I got the chance to taste the tastiest doughnuts in the world made by my mum. Before I moved to UK I pray if one day one of my parents passed away please don’t take them before I got to Indonesia. He listened to me and He even gave me a wonderful time to spend with my mum and of course my dad and lil sis and bro together as family. I even got the chance to hold my mums hand and be beside her when she took her last breath. This song is really help me to think that Jesus will always help me and my family. I do not to be afraid of everything as he always hold my hands. I believe mum now is in heaven watching over my dad, me, my lil sis and my lil bro, not but not least lil Fransiska (the baby in my belly) She is named after my mum and I so glad my husband picked this name when I was2 months pregnant. Now I’m nearly 6months and this baby gonna be a big Christmas present for my dad and our big family.

Patricia, as I write this one day before Thanksgiving, I'm listening to the song that was at my wife's funeral Mass. After three months her ashes were returned via the mail and on her 65th birthday, December 28th, she was laid to rest. I carried her ashes from the Church to about 100 feet to her grave. . Thanks for sending the song again. And what about you? I'm sorry that your husband died nearly a year before my wife did. Those who lose their spouse, we do understand, don't we? Still, it's never easy. And so, I wrap myself in my faith and a men's organization. And though I'm old enough to retire, I decided to continue to work. But there are days.... Thanks again, Patricia. Thank you, George! Yes, I totally agree... it's hard to fully comprehend what a widow or widower goes through until you are actually in those shoes. And yet, each experience is still unique and personal. I've been fortunate. I was able to get back on my feet financially with the support of a co-worker from years ago, and then, I was blessed to meet a wonderful kind and caring man last August, and we are currently in a relationship. Still, not a day goes by that I don't think of my husband, Steve. Memories of him are all over the house, and while I don't think it's always been easy for him, I appreciate my boyfriend's acceptance that I'll always love and miss my husband. Like you, I think my faith was fundamental on helping me from getting stagnant. It has been such a support, both during the period of time when Steve was ill and now after his death. As you are speaking of moving your wife's ashes, it reminds me of one poignant moment, and that was walking down the church aisle to with my husband The first time was when we were married, and then again, a second time, walking down that same aisle, only 6 years later, with his casket. I can't really put the emotions that were felt into words, and I sense that might have been true for you as well. Sounds like staying involved and busy is helping you greatly. I wish you much peace. The day will come when we are reunited with our loved ones again! And at least for me, I always feel that Steve is close. :) Thanks for sharing, George!
