Heliskiing in Alaska, a road trip in a campervan through British Columbia or a ski touring sailing trip in northern Norway - according to common perception, this is what the big freeride dreams look like that powder freaks want to turn from the hallucinatory deep sleep phase into dreamlike reality for once in a lifetime. But as so often in life: Less is sometimes more. Wouldn't a lonely cabin high up at over 2,000 meters in completely secluded, deeply snow-covered and largely unknown mountains be a better dream? Together with lots of best buddies, a powder- and party-ready girls-and-boys team, that shreds through the slopes on the doorstep in a completely easy and relaxed manner, without any competition. If then a Pistenbully with passenger cabin, a competent cat driver and a tank with plenty of diesel are available, hard-working cooks and helpers provide exquisite food and a constantly crackling fireplace and Frau Holle continuously lets her flakes trickle down, then it really sounds like fantastic conditions born from the dream world. But at Project X in the Lesser Caucasus, at the new spot of Georgia's catskiing pioneer Ingo Schlutius, such complex freeride dreams actually become reality.
We were allowed to experience this insane spot for several weeks in February 2023. P.S.: The hut then had to be abandoned after our stay and was no longer accessible because over 4 meters of snow fell within two weeks.
Well, luckily some dreams last longer than the night. In our film about the hut project in the Lesser Caucasus you can see what awaits you if you are drawn there to powder. Once again we thank Ingo from Powderproject and all his Georgian staff for the great time they made possible.
THANK YOU Little Caucasus! You were great again!
