When you challenge a +4, it checks to see if the person who played the +4 could have played anything else. For example, if someone played a +4 on top of a blue, but that same person could have played a blue, the challenge would be successful. If the person could not play anything else but a +4, the challenge is unsuccessful

smii7y changed the color to yellow, so instead of taking the +4 and playing a yellow in his hand, kryoz stacked it which can be challenged because he had a yellow edit: it's not about being able to play something else. it's whether or not you have the current color or number

The only way for Smii7y to defend himself was to stack the +4. Obviously, he could have played another card, but what would be the point really, you would have to draw 4 cards instead of making the next person draw 8. And even if he has another card it was still the right choice it made both of them draw four. Mini was lucky that he clicked challenge even if he didn't know what it meant.

BTW whether a challenge on a +4 is successful or not is determined based on if the person that played the +4 could have played something else. For example, if the top card is a green 7 and you have either a green card or a 7, but you play the +4 instead, a challenge against you is successful. If you stack a +4, you can still lose the challenge if you have a card in your hand that's the same colour as the one the person that played the +4 chose. For example, if someone plays a +4 and chooses yellow, then you stack another +4 but still have a yellow card, you'll still lose the challenge.

When you challenge a plus 4 basically you’re guessing wether the person who played the plus 4 has a card of the same colour as the one under the plus 4. If he does he picks up the four you would have, if he doesn’t you pick up six

A +4 challenge is like this: Player A puts a yellow/red/blue/green card (this also includes the wild card when Player A picks a color), but the next Player B puts a +4 card on the top it. Player C will guess if Player B either have a yellow/red/blue/green card or not. Player C will only succeed when Player B has indeed a yellow/red/blue/green card by clicking 'yes' (instead of Player C will receive the +4, Player B will receive it), but if Player B doesn't have a yellow/red/blue/green and Player C clicks 'yes', Player C will receive a +6 penalty. Player C can play safe if didn't want to risk it, so you can say no to this challenge, instead receive the +4 willingly instead of having a +6 penalty for challenging.

I know you probably have a shit ton of comments already saying this, but a Challenge is for when you think that someone is playing a wild card +4 and they don't have to. if say the card is green 3, and they play a WC+4 and you challenge, either you get +6 if they in fact do NOT have a green but they get the +4 if they DO have a green. Challenge is there because the WC+4 was originally supposed to be a "Oh shit, I don't have any cards to play! Succ on dis!"
