Part of me thinks it's playing to the narrator, and the character he usually lays, charismatic but tired, and not necessarily creative, but tries to be EX: Jeralt from Fire Emblem 3 houses

I gotta say... the art is incredible. But what really sets this, and, indeed, all of the best Square Enix games head and shoulders above the competition is the music. There is nothing in this world that compares with SE's unbelievable musical direction. It's just a shame we don't see as much of it anymore.

I love how many design elements they borrowed from Nier Replicant/Gestalt. I saw the metal box (and the leather card mat) that looked like one of the Grimoires and got super excited haha! Apparently, the narrator in the Japanese version is actually played by the VA for Grimoire Weiss, so it’s a cool little nod to Nier.

Just for the info that cave in the beginning was in the demo, you just stopped before you got there. Right after you would have sailed from the docks it would have taken you to that cave. You where actually really close to the end of the demo.

The game runs a bit shorter. I was slow my first playthrough. Did everything I could. Ran from zero enemies. It still only took me about 10 hours

LoD is not QTE'ish Wander. The whole battle mechanic is timed pressing of the attack button to complete combo chains, and some of the attacks are insane to get the timing down, but doable.

@@wanderbots the attack will be the same every time, so same timing on the attack. I'm not huge on qte either, but since you're doing the same attacks over a lot, it kind of becomes second nature. I really hope you give it a shot, that game is amazing

I wasn't so sure about this one, but looks like a pretty neat game, actually. As the tale is introduced by a DM type fellow, it does make sense for the tale to be narrated by one. Definitely has a realm of randomness and unexpectedness, but that's what's neat about it. Since you befriend Mar, maybe just maybe, one could make good terms with the dragon? For no reason of bias a'tall, I tend to side on those of scaled persuasion.

regarding what you said about the qte of legend of dragoon wander. its not that hard. unless you want a spell to do max damage (tho you can still power it up enough to do good damage even without full power. and the dragoon attacks can be rough. other than that. the qte of the normal attacks. isnt all the bad in my opinion.

i guess it makes sense that you don't play as the trio, i imagine you'll have more party members that can be switched around and the solid trio would make that seem weird or awkward while a rag tag group switching members on the fly only seems natural, also since when has a large religious order ever been good in a jrpg
