"You Are Safe Now" - Ape Action Africa: 30 Years of Saving Great Apes

Ape Action is home to the largest semi-wild population of rescued Endangered Western lowland gorillas in the world. For over 30 years they have been securing a future for over 300 rescued primates at Mefou Primate Sanctuary. From the dedicated staff to the incredible wild-like forest enclosures, Mefou Primate Sanctuary is a gift to be shared with the world, despite the dark predicaments for why it's so desperately needed. Please help us spread the word about their work with great apes, and the challenges they face: deforestation, poaching, illegal wildlife trafficking, palm oil, disease, and more - in hopes that someday their helping hands won't be needed.

All footage was obtained through reputable, ethically-run wildlife sanctuaries dedicated to caring for their rescued primates and protecting their wild counterparts. The sanctuary staff and caretakers shown in this video are experts at caring for these vulnerable, orphaned apes until they are strong enough to join larger primate families at these sanctuaries. Any human contact with these infants is for the babies' physical and mental benefit only.

I'm so glad to see a little of these "baby"apes,playing & looking so veryhappy& "normal". In the begining of this video there's a small baby chimp, that looks so very SAD. He(or she) looked as though tears would follow, in a second or two.😢😮😢
