Vedanta is the answer to the ultimate question : what is this phenomenal universe? Cosmic consciousness as experienced by the Vedic sages is the substratum of everything that exists in the universe.

And to add to that statement Atoms are nucleuses and are what stars and universes are. it is a great body. As we call it the body of space ,we are duplicates of what it is.i believe every part of it is intelligent,because it all stems from the same brain.conciousness is eternally throughout the great body wich we call the great spirit.

Self reflection and willingness/openness create the "space" to ""see" what seemed to not exist before, and yet seen in context, it becomes obvious instantly that "it" was always there. In other words, if I yell at at my french press to make coffee, it won't, no matter how loud I scream at it. It doesn't possess the ability. It doesn't have the tools or mechanisms in place to even know anything is making a sound. The more a person insists they know the absolute truth, the less likely they are to see it. As I remain open to possibilities, I am available to them. And I'll be damned if I spend the rest of my life defending what I think I might already know. It's like binging on "Gilligan's Island".

Existence needs experience and in the non-dual state even though we called that an experience, it is actually just existence prior to all experience, it is just existence without any experience. It is an experience of just being and although it is blissful and peaceful, there is no contrast. In order to experience existence we need subject-object split, we need contrast me and the other, pleasure and pain, birth and death, hot and cold, up and down, joy and suffering, thought and action, ally and enemy in order to keep the show going on. The simplest answer to your question is why do we go to the movies because the movies have heroes and also have villain. The Movie have sinner, they also have saints. The movies have faith,love but also have betrayal and that makes a good movie. So the universal being is formless and is also infinite but self interact to experience itself in maximum diversity and part of that diversity intents suffering because in the absence of suffering it might be difficult to experience joy in the relative plane of existence. In the absolute plane of existence there is no contrast, so there is only untouched bliss awareness but that bliss awareness can from a relative point of view lead to bore-dome. So the play of consciousness as the experience of the material world although the feeling of individual I, the feeling of individual other is both basically are modifications of consciousness itself. If you can bring that calm and wholeness that you have into the world of everyday reality then you are a true yogi. Lord Krishna called it “Yogastha Kuru Karmani” means establish in being and perform action which means that part of you that is never overshadowed by the time bound scenery. The scenery is time bound and the seer is timeless and if you can fully engaged and detached at the same time, you can fully engaged and centered as the seer then you will begin to overcome suffering in the relative world, as I said experience is by contrast. This is what it mean, carry your peace, carry your center of being in the midst of chaos, unpredictability, confusion. “Yogastha Kuru Karmani” ; Establish in being and perform action and play in the relative world.This is freedom in your present incarnation what is called Jivan-Mukti, freedom from karma even as you engage in action, freedom from the fragmented mind, settling in the whole mind even as you perform action in the relative world. This is the beauty of this understanding that we called yoga or being or pure awareness or our pure existence.

"The Universe is not coscious" this is a title of Rupert Spira's video on his You Tube channel. He explains that Consciousness is conscious, Universe is not conscious. Deepak Chopra on the other hand in his recent book trying to prove that the universe is conscious and alive.Looks like Chopra comes from position. "I the body am conscious/aware. Panpsychism. There is no such a thing as the Universe with it's own independent existence.

If you were to ask me what is the universe made of the answer would simply be tissue since the universe is a body and the stars are atoms in the universe is made of tissue tissue that can expand and contract according to what the universe needs it to do you can stretch one point of light to another point of light to create wormholes because it is simply tissue

It's all different experiences, if every experience were to be Happy and Divine there would be no point of being here and we wouldn't learn anything. We all have to suffer a little so one of us doesn't have to suffer alot.

Is matter the product of consciousness or is it the other way around? Is the universe intelligent because it is complex or is it complex because it is intelligent (James Clovispoint wrote)? It is the proverbial, "chicken before the egg". Deepak juggles with this without any formal methodology and with just speculation mixed with fancy words. If the universe and consciousness are made of nothing then experience is nothing and so are we; there is no logic here. His introduction is interesting and fear is indeed an important part of our lives, but there is no experience without a body and no consciousness without a material nervous system or biological matter. Reality is not consciousness alone; does a worm have consciousness? Does a fish, a bug, a tree have consciousness? Monkeys have self awareness or self-consciousness and it has been demonstrated that other mammals do also. Would there be a universe if there was no conscious being living in it? No, for all we know 99.9% of the universe is inhabited except for us, but thus it exists, and yet Deepak proposes that it is nothingness. In conclusion, you can go on speculating, as Deepak does, about the connection between consciousness, the universe, matter, reality, experience, self, intelligence and more, then call it arbitrarily the "Womb of Creation", without connecting the dots and giving some inkling of evidence or coherence, but this is all "woowoo" as it has been judiciously called.

Why don't accept that the christian mystics use "God" to speak about the mind (our real body creator)? Exactly as many great religions. To accept that the profound universal wisdom blesses ALL the mystic religions is the point. "We" think that christians don't have the Profound wisdom because we can not read their textes from a deep meaning. So how to explain to others that we have the wisdom if we don't see the wisdom of others? Also in boudhism, indouhism... teachings seems to speak about a creator... Why don't accept that the christians speak about the "same one"???????? Easy to accept that point if we anderstand deeply our own tradition.

Deepak Chopra is a prime example of someone who is not qualified to give a symposium about Physics. Mr. Deepak Chopra just because you don't understand mathematical equations or theory, that does not make them untrue or that they only exist in mathematical imagination. For example, a mathematical equation led to the discovery of Neptune by calculating its orbit and it was not imagined. The existence of black holes were first predicted in a mathematical equation ny Einstein with general theory of relativity, until one was discovered in the 1960s. Mathematical equations led to place a man in the moon in the 60s and they were not imagined they were calculated. Another nonsense, matter does not need to be aware of itself; matter is made of atoms which give mass and volumes to objects and that's basic chemistry. Mr. Deepak Chopra you are conflating Philosophy with Physics and for certainty you don't make any sense.

Human cognition is just a bunch of chemical reactions. Totally overrated.
@Continuum2077
@Continuum2077 5 жыл бұрын
So where in the chemical reactions do we get intuition, creativity, compassion, morality, etc ? The fact that we can question our own true essence (who am i?) is proof we are not just merely having experiences caused by a soup of chemical reactions taking place in the brain.
