But who really understands it as if there is no other choice and live by the facts and not the thougth? "My view on what J.K. said" J. K. was indeed very good with English. If you were to see the meaning of the word "you", you would realize that the word "you" is being used to refer to a "person". The word "person" in a way would represent the past accumulations which make the "person" that "person" (if that makes sense).

Dont memory and thought make us HUMAN and differentiate us from other living beings ? Isnt memory the basis for a human life ? After all what is life but memories , good and bad ? So how to reject memory? Unfortunately J.K doesnt highlight this aspect

He is not asking you to reject thought. He is merely saying to see the fact of it. That thought is creating all these problems. You can't reject thought anyways, that would just be another thought trying to get rid of another thought. Which is the division he talks about. Its just seeing the thoughts and what they have produced. That may bring about understanding or change.

Search for his books, i found there, so many years ago, this Idea. In this very moment i cannot say which book, i have all publish in my mother tongue, portuguese. But your question is very important. When i read that, the difference in see someone without any memory, (as an ex boyfriend, or someone from your childness,) and then you can *really* see and listen and observe without sorrow, see if in that moment could be the very first time you see this soul, it changes so much the perception of every thing, the words, the person itself. Sorry "my bad english" + very sleppy, but i could not sleep well without give you any/ some answer, hope it will be useful for you and everyone.

sometimes I get confused with Krishnamurti's words. I am unsure if when he says "you are thought" if he means the "you" that is your self image, persona, identity or something else.

@@danielnicholson25 That's it. It gets confusing because he is addressing different issues at different times. So when you listen to more of his talks you get a bigger picture, but in the end you have to explore what you are yourself.

'You' is made by thought. That's what he is saying. When you see yourself.. your anger, jealousy, guilt, other emotions and thought.. there is an observed and an observer. That observer is a form of thought. That observer is the one who is resisting the observed and having conclusions about the observed. If there is no observer than only the observed remains. This is meditation and in this silence we can find really who we are.
