Yay!! Irf is along. That was fun. I feel like we have haven’t been to either of those places in forever! I love the those tiles. They are so pretty, especially the windmills. We must have been related in a previous life. I love trains & butter pecan is one my top 2 favorite ice cream flavors. The other is pralines & cream. Have wonderful week. 💖

Hi Amy and Irf good to see you two. Such good prices at the second stop. Loved everything you picked up. Irf even picked up a few good things. Amy butter pecan ice cream use to be the only ice cream I would eat but I have sugar diabetes now don't get to enjoy it now but that's ok I learned to live with it. Good to see you both enjoy it. I will see you next time

That was a fun thrifting trip with Irf! That Germany platter was so pretty. And the ring was fabulous. Those bangles looked nice too. Can’t beat vintage Coach. And that Blenko Water pitcher was amazing in green. 💕😻

One of my Ohio friends is a train buff. I showed him your video so he could see the train. He said in the fall there is a steam engine pulling that one. :) That wonky mug must be made to fit in a cupholder in your car. And ice cream!! Yes!! Always! 🍨🍦

Oh Irf….you are so funny……Amy, I love the pillow sham I got in my treasure box bid. Being frugal I didn’t want to buy a pillow for it so I stuffed it with a few winter sweaters I won’t be wearing for awhile. Looks great. And you viewers who can bid on the treasure box DO BID. I can’t believe all I received.

Thanks so much for all of your videos Amy! I enjoy every one. I've been wondering something for a while. Obviously, it is now a common practice to buy merchandise at thrift shops and then resell on Ebay. I really believe this is great for the economy (on several levels) and could help to slow the consumption of mass-produced cheap products. My question is this: do you ever encounter any type of prejudice for this practice when you are shopping? I guess I am thinking more specifically of smaller shops, not Goodwill. I'm just wondering if there are any shop owners who give you a hard time. Of course, you have met many wonderful people through thrifting, but it seems there are always a few grumps out there. Just curious.

I have run into some shoppers who talk negatively about resellers... but I see that as an opportunity to educate. I love to point out to people that everyone is a reseller. When they shop at Walmart, they are buying from the biggest reseller on the planet. Walmart pinches manufacturers for every penny and those billions of dollars go into the pockets of rich executives. So I like to ask people if they can really judge individuals earning a living (or trying to make ends meet as a side-hustle) while also playing that important role you wrote about in a secondary market. I have opened up some eyes and changed some minds with that argument. =) As far as small - smart - business owners, like Tracy, I have not run into any issues. Tracy's business model is get it in, get it out. She makes good money that way. She's not spending her time looking everything up and she know she can't compete with online sales prices. She has told me that if I find something there that is worth a bunch of money, she would be happy. She got what she was asking out of it. She makes great deals for me, knowing that I'm going to do the work of photographing and listing them. And I pay her in cash and never ask for a better deal because I know she's giving me the best. It makes for a great relationship! Also, if I ever ran into anything rare that made me a great deal of money there, she would definitely benefit from a cut. That's only fair. 😊 I have shopped in small independently owned "thrift" shops that price as if they are eBay... I don't announce that I am a reseller. I'll take a look around and usually leave empty handed. I also don't promote those shops on my social media. =) Sorry for the novella - it was a great question! 💕

@@YOSOBOHO Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments on my question! I really appreciate it, and will share your thoughts with a particular person I know who sees the business in a negative way. I am hoping to retire from full-time work next year, and am thinking about a side hustle doing this during retirement (on a very small scale, as I live in a very small house and will be quite finished with the 40 hour work week). Can you suggest any small or "niche" interests for reselling that I could focus on that would not take up too much time or space? I would only be looking to keep active and make a little extra pocket money. I wish there were more people in the world like you Amy!! Keep putting out those good vibes.

If you land on it, please share! 😊 (I’d say jewelry, but it is a big learning curve, and I’m not sure about overall sell-thru rates there.)
