I picked pile 2 & 3. I’m 44 and was officially diagnosed with autism this month. Not only has life in general felt so isolated and lonely, but even more so with my diagnosis. I’m thrilled to have it, because it gives me awareness and with that comes a lot of understanding. Understanding of my life long struggles, etc. But it doesn’t change the fact that I just operate in a very different way and it can make life so difficult & challenging. I have three kids and I’ve been in a committed relationship for almost 5 years. This in and of itself is very challenging for me. I feel this higher calling to do very specific things, but those things take time. Time I don’t have and it eats away at my soul. It’s very hard to operate on this planet. It’s very hard to give others what they need, when all you want to do is be alone and immerse yourself in your passion projects. I’ve yet to find a balance and it leaves me feeling scattered and depressed. I’m not one to give up. I look back and can’t believe all I’ve overcome, but these past couple of years have been so hard. I just want to fade away. I’m trying my absolute best to manage it all. I’m trying my best to shift my reality into something manageable, but I’m finding when your brain operates in a much different way and you’re already incredibly overstimulated by life, this isn’t an easy feat. I won’t give up, but that depiction on the, I think it was the eight of swords, the woman is 300% how I feel internally.
