Beautiful work ! I love how you used underrated scenes, especially the parallels at the end with the « i didn’t want to be loved ». I think when she said that she can’t love him, it was deeper than he’s a monster, also she was incapable of love because of her depression. I like that in season 7 we have some inside on how she felt in season 6. It shows that their relationship was so much more complicated than unrequited love

The reason I have always preferred Spike over Angel is because even though at first it was a very unhealthy relationship (I can admit that) Spike evolved in such a huge way. He had the biggest character development in the whole buffyverse. Same for Angel and Cordelia. Cordy started out as a person you loved to hate but grew to something more because of her journey with Angel. Vice versa Angel wouldn’t be the same man he is without Cordy.

Their relationship is the hate to love trope that is one of my favourites! Reminds me of Thyme & Gorya in "F4 Thailand". They also used to fight (since Thyme was the villain/bully) bicker...and the sexual tension was EVERYTHING!
