I really appreciate your willingness to continue teaching in this venue. I can't tell you how much you have inspired me and helped my art grow. Wishing you continued success!

Thanks for posting your story. Drawing and art has been a way for me to understand medicine but also a way to relax and work through other concepts. Art is a window into history, culture, symbolism, spirituality and more. It is helpful to hear your path, especially the point when you recognized you did not know what you didn't know. Thanks for your technical videos and your ongoing willingness to teach.

Thanks 🥰 just had my first art exhibition, sold two pieces for reduced price so they would get two instead of only one 😊 because they wanted both and then i have two other pieces that two potentially buyers 😍 and two commissions that needs to be finished 😊 slowly getting there but always stray for improvement and get a better skill of different mediums😊

People always used to ask me why I wasn’t doing art for a living and I would refer to the “starving artist” comment- then I realized I was using that as a crutch or excuse for not being brave enough to following that path. Once I owned that, I was able to follow my dream- I draw now but as side work next to my full time job. Still not full time, but in the past I never would have had the confidence to try or even put myself out there. This was a great video- great advice and information. Thank you!

I picked up watercolor for the first time this year and immediately fell in love with painting. I have never been a particularly talented drawer or artist which has always pushed me away from trying it but I am hoping to learn and improve and in time I can sell more and make a career of it!

I really enjoy watching you draw, and your words really hit home for me as I'm also trying to balance teaching and making a career in art right now... Thank you for sharing advice and tips on how to make it work!

Looking back on my life, I wish I'd ignored the naysayers and focused on art more (among other things). I came to the conclusion "I'm not dead yet" so I've been researching and practicing. I appreciate your videos! Also it's nice to see someone else who enjoys working with charcoal. It feels like stumbling across a unicorn 🥰

Is it better to start painting on paper because it's cheaper then move to canvas after or is it just better to start canvas.
